Alissa Hemke, MD, Receives AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for Early Career Faculty and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, supported by AACAP

Washington, DC, October 25, 2021 –The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Alissa Hemke, MD, Acting Assistant Professor, University of Washington, as the recipient of AACAP's 2021 Pilot Research Award for Early Career Faculty and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, supported by AACAP.

AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for Early Career Faculty and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, supported by AACAP provides up to $15,000 of funding for early career faculty and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows who have an interest in beginning a career in child and adolescent mental health research. This award reduces the shortage in clinical researchers by supporting young investigators engaging in mental health research programs.

Dr. Hemke will be recognized at the Junior Research Scholar Lunch during AACAP's 69th Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada, October 17-22, 2022.
