- A narrow, heavy snow band developed over central New York during the early morning hours of March 18, 2015.
- The band was forced primarily by a shallow frontal zone, along with some lake enhancement.
- The 00z run of the 4 km NAM reflectivity product gave an excellent indication of the band strength and location.
- Radar snowfall products were also useful for estimating snowfall amounts in real time.
