A consent opinion that Charles Cravins, in his capacity as District Attorney of the 27th Judicial District, violated La. R.S. 42:1112B(1) by virtue of participating in a transaction involving the District Attorney’s Office and Donald Cravins Insurance Agency, Incorporated, in which he knew his immediate family member, Donald Cravins, had a substantial economic interest.

A consent opinion that Donald Cravins Insurance Agency, Incorporated violated La. R.S. 42:1113A(1)(a) by virtue of entering into a transaction with Charles Cravins’ agency, the Office of the District Attorney of the 27th Judicial District, while his immediate family member, Donald Cravins, owns a controlling interest in Donald Cravins Insurance Agency, Incorporated.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits Darin Collins, an appointed board member of the Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish, from participating in any matters relating to the Acre Road Housing Project in which he has a substantial economic interest as the sole resident, and from participating in any matters in which the Marrero Tenants Organization, Inc. has a substantial economic interest since he is an officer of the organization.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit the Maintenance Division of the Shreveport Fire Department from hiring Austin McCollum while his father, Randy McCollum, is employed by the Maintenance Division, but Randy McCollum is prohibited from participating in any supervision of his son for which a disqualification plan should be submitted.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits Nicole Dunn, for two years following her resignation, from assisting Meyers Engineering in any transactions involving the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) or the State of Louisiana, in which she participated while employed with DOTD, and from rendering the same project engineering services on a contractual basis to Meyers Engineering if those services are rendered to, for, or on behalf of her former agency, the DOTD Brittany Project Engineer Office.

The Code of Governmental Ethics does not prohibit Shantell Lee from rendering professional development services to Imagine Learning within two years of her resignation from employment with the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) since she did not participate in any transactions involving Imagine Learning while employed by LDOE and her employment with Imagine Learning will not involve her former agency, the LDOE Division of Academic Content.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits Todd Eppley from assisting Inframark, LLC with any transaction involving the Plaquemines Parish Public Works Department or from rendering any service on a contractual basis to or for the Plaquemines Parish Public Works Department until December 31, 2024.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits the spouse of Karen Miller Lewis from entering into a transaction or being employed with Charter Schools USA to perform work under its contract with the Vermilion Charter Foundation while Ms. Lewis serves as an appointed member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

The Board approved the proposed disqualification plan submitted by the Red River Parish School District for the continued employment of Krystle Mosely as an approved substitute cafeteria worker and her mother, Fonda Mosely, as one of the two cafeteria managers at Red River Elementary.

The Code of Governmental Ethics prohibits a doctor who has a contract with the Tangipahoa Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 d/b/a North Oaks Hospital from being appointed to and serving on the Tangipahoa Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 d/b/a North Oaks Hospital Board of Directors.
