John, who is the Sun's copy chief, grew up in a family of eight and now is married with two children. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Taylor joined the Sun in 2012. He likes to say he halfway followed a path blazed by his grandfather, who in the early 1900s ran both a Polish-American newspaper and a tavern.
