This project explores inclusive and future-proofing measures to address occupational safety and health (OSH) risks in the digital age based on a human-centered approach, which places the needs of people at work at the heart of policy-making. Specifically, this project will: (1) identify risks to OSH following the emergence of new working and employment patterns in the digital age; (2) envisage future-proofing and inclusive OSH and social protection measures through a “human-centered” approach; (3) collect the best practices of APEC economies in advancing OSH. A workshop will be organized to compile professional viewpoints and recommendations, and to assist APEC member economies to promote “human-centered” OSH measures in the digital age. Moreover, this project hopes to facilitate inclusive human resources development as outlined in the Aotearoa Plan of Action leading APEC to realize the Putrajaya Vision 2040.
