DAS VILLAIN I've been a fan of Richard D. James for over 30 years and seen him multiple times live! Back in 1999, I was reluctant to purchase Windowlicker especially after the brutally perfectionist and 'bellicose, but beautiful psychological warfare' of 1997's Come To Daddy. Upon purchasing Windowlicker in 1999, I was shocked-IN A GOOD WAY-of the deconstructionist vulnerability Richard displays here where he breaks down the music to is illogical, rudimentary parts that's both accessible and inaccessible. Favorite track: Windowlicker.
