Russian artist Lia Selina has always loved fairytales. She began a career in computer animation, but it was only after the birth of her daughter, Alice, that she combined her love of fairy tales with drawing: "Selina went back to basics with a notebook and color pencils and began drawing unique dolls."

I've been Etch-A-Sketching professionally since 2006. Since then, I've drawn over 1000 portraits on the magic screen. These are some of my favorite videos from over the years.

I found this guy named Kyle Fleming on Instagram who has been a professional Etch-A-Sketch artist for over 10 years. If he didn't post the time-lapse videos of him creating it, I would think it was fake. Instead of using straight lines to do the shading, he often creates a grey scale by etching impossibly small, intricate squiggles. Zoom in on some of these pictures to fully appreciate them.

Every time you refill a pencil, there is a plastic case that is thrown away. These non recyclable plastic cases end up in landfills and pollute the earth. They will still be there when we are not. This series of pencil sketches support a Kickstarter for Zero waste lead pencil refills.
