    An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    • Launch a new instance with this AMI
    • Choose an instance with at least 500Mb of ram and at least 1 vCPU, keep in mind that you'll be limited to available ram when loading datasets
    • Select or create a new key pair and store it somewhere safe
    • Create a new security group:
      • allow inbound TCP on port 22 only to your IP (ssh access)
    • Launch it !
    • Edit the newly created security group:
      • allow inbound TCP on port 8787 to your IP only (Rstudio web app access)
      • allow inbound TCP on port 80 to your IP only (Password setup util access)
    • Wait for the instance to get ready (~ <1min)
    • Copy the IPV4 of the instance and access your n8n with this url: http://{copied IPV4}/
    • If your bowser warn you of risks of http, accept
    • Set a strong password in the form as soon as possible
    • Allow a few seconds
    • Follow the link or got to: http://{copied IPV4}:8787/ and login with username rstudio and the password you just set
    • (optional) you can use your own domain to redirect to the instance
