Job Description

Responsible for assisting the NFL Network Traffic Department, while also working directly with Master Control, Sales, and Advertising Agencies. A successful candidate should have: excellent analytical & organizational abilities; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.  They will be responsible for helping maintain the commercial library, implementing commercial arrival reports and working with various digital delivery providers for commercial copy delivery.  They will also be retrieving, analyzing and implementing commercial instructions, as well as coordinating with Advertising Agencies, Clients and Sales staff to obtain pertinent information for client’s on-air requirements.  Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing the production of on-air billboards as well as providing backup support for any other Traffic-related responsibilities, as required.

Essential Functions

  • Input and generate Commercial Arrival Reports
  • Organize, prioritize and input all incoming ROS Traffic Instructions (Direct Response and National)
  • Daily monitoring of client’s campaigns, and assist in identifying media sales discrepancies.
  • Act as liaison between Sales and the Advertising Agencies to execute error-free campaigns.
  • Oversee production of billboards, including script writing and directing voiceover talent, while working with Associate Directors and Editors on the overall look and delivery of the billboards.
  • Work alongside internal Promotions and Ad Council Agencies for PSA delivery for NFL Network filler.
  • Assist in the production of alternate commercial logs.
  • Provide support to and complete additional projects as directed by Commercial Operations Traffic Management

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/BA degree 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in PC computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 1-2 years media experience within a broadcast or cable Commercial operations Department
  • Solid understanding of the TV/Media industry.
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit Network software.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work 

  • Part-time, under 29 hours/week

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$30$35 USD
