Overview / Objective

As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product lifecycle activities for a portfolio of applications.  This includes understanding the business facing issues of the department(s) who utilize your product(s), creating/updating product management deliverables (support models, roadmaps, training strategy, product reviews, product administration), managing 2nd Level Application Support, 3rd party vendors, and a Product team that support the product(s).  In addition, you will be responsible for project related tasks and deliverables for projects that impact your product(s) as well as managing the budget for your portfolio of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end product deliveries of solutions from scoping to design, deployment, and post-production support, ensuring timely completion of initiatives and fostering retrospective learnings for future success.
  • Develop and manage product budgets. Track and report on financial metrics, including planned versus actual expenditures. Analyze variances and implement corrective actions to stay on budget and achieve financial targets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach a product team of 2-4 resources, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Collaborate across all areas of the organization to find innovative solutions that are aligned with the organization’s short-term and long-term objectives. Establish a strong relationship with stakeholders, vendors and IT shared services to define application objectives, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target use cases of the application.
  • Act as the advocate for your product both within and outside the company, frequently collaborating closely with the business to deepen your understanding of the factors driving their needs. This will include managing the resolution of production support related issues.
  • Serve as the intersection between business, technology, and user experience. Craft and manage essential product elements such as support models, roadmaps, technical and solution design documents, user stories. Develop training materials and deliver end-user training as required.
  • Build and sustain professional, customer-focused relationships with application owners. Provide 2nd Level Support and collaborate with support teams to resolve issues.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of software solution/product management experience, with a track record of delivering successful products from concept to launch.
  • A passion for “why” – understanding business strategy and the value to be gained from technology enablement. You should also have a strong collaborative nature to make sure we bring the best to each engagement.
  • A solid working knowledge of the product management lifecycle and understand the tenets of best-practice software development. Prior experience with Scrum or Agile development methodologies.
  • A passion for emerging technologies, including Marketing Technologies, and understanding of how the various components of the applications and products work together.
  • Experience managing software vendors and experience influencing vendor roadmaps.
  • Existing product knowledge of corporate business systems used throughout the enterprise is a plus - content management systems, contract management solutions, collaboration platforms, HCM, ERP, CRM, legal case management, etc.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Management Certification.
  • Experience as an Internal Facing Application Product Manager.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint sites.
  • Experience with Data Engineering and Data Modeling.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (PowerBI, TableauCRM).
  • Experience in Sports, Media and Entertainment industry.
  • Bachelors in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Business degree a strong plus

Salary / Pay Range

Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

$150,000$190,000 USD
