JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Geopolitical Intelligence Associate (GIA) anticipates and assesses threats that could harm, or make vulnerable, the NFL, its employees, fans, or assets and establishes and oversees various special security programs. The analyst will produce a range of written and verbal analyses for League executives to support the League’s security and crisis management operations. The GIA reviews information from open/public sources, official sources, and professional contacts, and conducts timely, accurate, relevant, and creative assessments with a focus on international security issues as they relate to the ongoing global expansion of the NFL. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise across all aspects of the NFL’s international effort to monitor threats from terrorism and criminal matters, collect global threat intelligence, perform impact analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies to key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Research, review, and interpret the political systems of various geographical regions
  • Collect and analyze data, evaluate the effects of laws and policies, monitor current events, and forecast economic, social, and political trends
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate political and security risks in different regions of the world and their impact on the League’s interests
  • Perform risk assessments to support international travel, providing guidance to individuals and business leaders to help them navigate risk controls and defined processes
  • Support the Global Security Operations Center in ensuring international travel risks are appropriately managed and that a robust program of monitoring, analysis, and response is maintained; assist in the development and implementation of global and regional traveler security standards, procedures, and protocols
  • Build and manage an external network of public and private sector intelligence professionals, and other experts to stay apprised of global developments and security trends to execute new initiatives to standardize and optimize threat monitoring operations methods and tools to reduce analysis and reporting times and increase security, availability and global synergy across all NFL equities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Background in geo-political intelligence collection and analysis with a focus on international domains 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and solid background in intelligence collection, threat analysis, security communications tools and technologies.
  • Proven track record of supporting and actively engaged in intelligence operations processes, tools and technologies through an evidence-based operational improvement and decision-making approach to best meet security objectives and priorities.
  • Experience supporting traveler security programs across multiple sites/campuses with a track record of success and increasing responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of analysis on international security issues, including though not exclusively related to terrorism.
  • Must have technical knowledge and demonstrate the core fundamentals of latest innovations in threat monitoring and reporting technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. 
  • 5+ years in global security threat and intelligence analysis Proven track record as a strong communicator – written and oral presentations, capable of rapidly creating detailed written reports.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with various social media platforms, OSINT, and related software
  • Expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with geospatial intelligence tools

Physical Demands

  • Role may require long periods of standing, climbing stairs and walking in connection with NFL game and stadium operations.

Travel

  • Travel will be minimal, however, there may be times where the analyst will travel to NFL stadiums, facilities, events, etc. 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • FSLA Non-exempt 
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

 

Salary
$30$40 USD
