Cow elk

I photographed the young cow elk near Kitty Creek. I saw something in Selways Meadow that I had never seen before, a short eared owl. I have hanging around this wonderful place almost 40 years now and this is the first one I have seen there. I had just crossed a ditch on my 4-wheeler and looked left and here was a short eared owl flying along side of me. No pictures of course but hopefully in the future.
