As commemorations took place to mark the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, there were once again several flagrant attempts to obfuscate the crimes of British soldiers in Derry. Both the New York Times and British Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer used the word "unfold" to describe the events of Bloody Sunday.

This city of many names has endured centuries of upheaval in its long history. But today Derry~Londonderry, the second largest city in Northern Ireland, is shaking off the shackles of the past and reinventing itself as a thriving capital of culture.
