I love all kinds of different romance tropes. I thought making a reading challenge of some of the different tropes would be fun.

book genres are broken down into different sections, but don't confuse subgenre, categories, or tropes

plus, don’t write a character /only/ or merely to be diverse—and especially if you believe the character or their trait(s) to be redundant. write for nuance, perception, and characterization. a character’s differences should add dimension to their character and especially should not be their only reason for existence. forced, stifled diversity in writing feels worse than none at all.
