Dino sketches

I made this [very] simplified cladogram illustrating how different dinosaur groups relate to each other, as well as how they are related to other extinct animals that more often than not get mislabelled as “dinosaurs”. My main motivation for creating this piece was not pedantic concern about everyone using the right scientific terminology. I have been wanting to make a Jurassic Park piece for a long while now. I was in Belize at the time of this illustration and for a full week it has been raining and gloomy nonstop. I definitely wanted to incorporate the humid, cool weather I was able to enjoy. It inspired me to make this tranquil scene of the ‘Lost World: Jurassic Park’ T. rex pair together in the rain. Was kinda tough doing it on my iPad since I normally draw on my workstation. I’m happy with how it came out and can’t wait…
