Jake - Lifestyle Coach on Instagram: "❌Stop doing lying hamstring curls this way! . ⚠️You might as well be doing a seated hamstring curl, it’s a similar position in terms of what you’re emphasizing when it comes to the hamstrings. . 👉When you lay on these machines, most of them have you in a hip flexed position, which isn’t necessarily bad but if you’re already doing stiff- legged deadlifts or seated hamstring curls, there is no point because you’re already overloading the hamstrings in their fully lengthened position. . ❗️To fully shorten and challenge the hamstrings in their end range of the movement you need hip extension, that’s where prodding yourself up on the bench makes sense. Leg Curl Alternatives: 10 Gym and Home Friendly Exercises

One of the more popular lower body exercises you can do is the leg curl. You can easily find leg curl machines in the gym which focuses on developing the muscles on your hamstrings. Thing is, I’m an introvert and I prefer to workout in my lonesome. Going to the gym has not always been my ‘thing’.
