- Historically accurate Rapunzel - I imagined her as a late to mid 16th century German girl, more specifically at the court of Saxony. The dress was heavily inspired by the paintings of Lucas Cranach the Elder, in fact dresses like these are called 'Cranach dresses', because he painted so many. I think the German renaissance is my favourite, fashion wise. The clothing was so intricate and feminine. I'm a bit sad we don't wear dresses like that anymore haha 😄 #digitalpainting #tangled #rapu... Chloe's arts on Instagram: "Historical witches…. Disney princesses edition 🌿 and I know Jane is not a princess but she is in my heart 😌 so today is all about Jane and Merida! For Jane, Tarzan is set in the late Victorian era. Her outfit in the movie isn’t actually that inaccurate! For my design I took inspiration from a fashion plate from the era, more specifically a cycling outfit because I figured she’d be more comfortable to explore the jungle 😉🙈 I also put her as an eclectic witch becaus Croquis, 10th Century Fashion, Historical Witches, Jane Tarzan, Disney Inspiration, Disney Cuties, Eclectic Witch, Dress Art, Magical Things

- Historically accurate Cinderella - A lot of research went into this one, and there is still so much to learn! I pictured her as a late 17th century French woman. Fashion was really evolving at that time. The baroque style period was going into rococo so everything (including clothing) became more ornate and refined. The waistline transformed from a broad, high-waisted silhouette (from the previous period) into a long, lean line with a low waist. She’s also wearing a ‘fontange’ on her head,... We love them so much that we even dress up as our favorite Disney princess when we role-play and maybe even pushed our parents into making costumes so we can look exactly like them. Even now as adults, we can’t help but get swept up in their fairy tale endings — who doesn’t want to find their very own prince charming?
