Retirement watercolor cards

Great color choice Karen & I'm also having dessert! My good friend retired recently from her position as a scrub tech in the OR for 48 years. I chose this image b/c 2 of her 3 boys live in FL & she goes to visit often. She taught me a lot when I worked in the OR & became a RN scrub nurse. I stamped the image & colored with blender pens using the ink pads. I don't know how Roberta does it & gets such smooth colors. She had this technique mastered - I sure don't! I also added Flower…

Well, well, well...its been a long time since I posted or even made a card...life has just got in the way for a bit and most of my spare time is now spent looking after my dad but I had a little me time at the weekend and I feel I need to get practising...not as good as I wanted it to turn out. Hi, no I'm not able to retire yet, sadly, lol! A former work colleague is retiring though and I was asked to make him a card. I had this bird in my stash and loved his nonchalant look! The bird is stamped with versafine on watercolour paper and from memory, is coloured with Inktense pencils. The stamped sentiments are from 2 different sets, and the diecut is layered up 3 times for dimension, inked with versamark and embossed with black sparkle powder.
