In an effort to streamline my creature sketches for my personal project: Ecor-117, I've decided to construct this post as a field journal from a soldier's or land surveyors' perspective. Ecor-117 is a fictitious planet with a plant-life capable of extending human longevity by hundreds of years. But the planet also houses an array of beasts and a hostile ecosystem. Just because a character has been around forever doesn't mean there aren't new ways to reimagine it. Damon Hellandbrand, a talented artist based in the U.S., has created a series of images that portray the symbols of the zodiac as twisted, surreal creatures straight out of a nightmarish realm.

All these designs were done back at Edge Fx for various projects that didn't happen....but i always loved the sihlouettes of these that i will eventually finish in 3d some day.:)
