When I first previewed this book, it didn't grab me. I read as many of the FIAR books as I could when I bought my FIAR manual to decide which ones I really wanted to row. This one didn't make the short list. At first I found it sad, and almost burdensome for a child. This weekend I worked on putting together a lapbook to go with our upcoming studies for the book The Rag Coat by Lauren Mills. I'm quite pleased with my efforts, and hopefully that doesn't sound overly prideful! It's a nice feeling when you work on something and you're really happy with the outcome of it.
