Jacella Nephew, Lake Shore/Silver Creek, 12, midfield: Led Lake Shore/Silver Creek to the Section VI Class C championship. Nephew makes her All-WNY first-team debut after winning a sectional title and having a season with 36 goals, 30 assists and 66 points. She has more than 200 career goals and is a two-time winner of the Empress Lacrosse Sniper Award. Nephew will continue her career at Youngstown State.

Claire Buccieri, Lancaster, 9, midfield: The only freshman to make All-WNY first team, Buccieri is a two-time All-WNY first-team selection. She was named the team’s MVP after leading Lancaster to a sectional championship and ending the season with 97 goals, 22 assists and 119 points. With 170 career goals, she’s sixth all-time in program history. She says she’s “thankful to finally be a player on this team,” after watching Lancaster lacrosse since she was young because her parents are the coaches. Buccieri was named to the U.S. All-American team.

Megan Singer, Frontier, 12, midfield: Eating a banana and listening to Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” got Singer ready for her games. Her routine worked as she was named to All-WNY first team for the first time. She finished the season with 48 goals and 15 assists for 63 points. Singer also had 51 draw controls, 40 ground balls, 18 caused turnovers and eight interceptions. She will continue her career at Akron and is a U.S. All-American selection.

Ava Devald, Niagara-Wheatfield, 11, midfield: The two-time All-WNY first-team selection had 69 goals and 30 assists for 99 points. She also surpassed the 200-goal milestone. Devald had 61 groundballs, 28 caused turnovers and was named the team’s offensive MVP for her play. She also was named a U.S. All-American and Academic All-American. She’s been the class president since the eighth grade and is a member of the National Honor Society. Devald is a Youngstown State commit.

Lilli Rauch, Buffalo Seminary, 11, midfield: A two-time All-WNY first-team selection, Rauch is the reigning All-Catholic Player of the Year, and a three-time All-Catholic selection. She scored 122 of Buffalo Seminary’s 149 goals and ended the season with 128 points. She averaged 9.1 goals per game. Rauch was named a U.S. All-American.

She led the program to the Class D final as the No. 4 seed, upsetting No. 1 East Aurora and No. 2 Salamanca en route to the championship. Luther will continue her career at Jacksonville.

Maya Griffin, Orchard Park, 11, midfield: Griffin makes her second All-WNY first team in her second year on varsity. She had 41 goals, 25 assists and 65 points for the Quakers, with 97 draw controls and 53 ground balls. Her favorite moments of the season were bus rides back to Orchard Park after games because she and her teammates would sing on the ride back. Griffin is a Youngstown State commit.

Addison Peters, Clarence, 12, defense: Peters had 10 goals and six assists with 29 ground balls, 12 caused turnovers, nine draw controls and three interceptions. She makes the All-WNY first team after being on the second team the previous two seasons. "I was so incredibly lucky to play on this team during my high school career," Peters said.

Sydney Girardi, East Aurora, 11, midfield: The four-year varsity athlete had 58 goals and 13 assists with 23 groundballs and eight caused turnovers. She holds the program record for career goals (168), career record for draw controls (221), single-season draw controls (96), and draw controls in a game (12). Girardi has more than 200 career points, was named a U.S. All-American and is a Duquesne verbal commit. She’s a two-time All-WNY first-team selection.

Mea Tranquilli, Lancaster, 11, defense: Making the jump from All-WNY second team to the first team, Tranquilli led Lancaster to a Section VI Class A championship. For the season, she had 34 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers and an interception. Her favorite moment from the season was the senior dinner and being able to hang out with the team. She’s also a varsity cheerleader.

Ella Forcucci, Orchard Park, 11, attack: Led Orchard Park to the Class A sectional final. Forcucci had 72 goals, 50 assists and 122 points and established herself as the program’s best player. She’s the all-time leader in goals (184), assists (124) and points (308). The two-time All-WNY first-team selection is a three-year varsity starter and a Canisius verbal commit.

Madison Knaub, Lancaster, 10, goalie: Had 207 saves in 912 minutes as she helped Lancaster three-peat as Class A champions. Her routine before games included eating rice cakes with peanut butter. Knaub is a member of the National Honor Society, the marching band and plays the clarinet. She’s made honor roll in consecutive years.

Gracie Williams, Lake Shore/Silver Creek, 11, midfield: Had 67 goals and 24 assists for 91 points this season. Having wrapped up her six-year varsity career, Williams ended with 180 goals, 66 assists and 246 points. She’s been on varsity since the seventh grade and a starter since the eighth grade. Williams is a St. Bonaventure verbal commit and is a two-time All-WNY first-team selection.

Katie Rice, Clarence, 12, attack: Named an Academic All-American, Rice led Clarence to the Section VI Class B championship. She ended the season with 51 goals, 26 assists and 77 points. Rice also had 55 draw controls and 23 ground balls. Rice’s play also earned her ECIC Conference I first-team honors. "I enjoyed the moments I got to play lacrosse and the people who played by my side who made me grow as both a person and a player," Rice said.

Sadie Schlesselman, Lancaster, 11, attack: Listening to Macklemore’s “Downtown” and eating a turkey wrap was Schlesselman’s pregame routine. She had 26 goals, a program record 72 assists and 98 points. Her favorite moment from the season was helping the team win the Class A sectional title and being able to play in regionals. Schlesselman is a Daemen verbal commit.

Taylor Rakoski, Hamburg, 12, goalie: Named to the Academic All-American team, Rakoski finished the season with an 11-5 record with 154 saves in 768 minutes. Her defense hekped Hamburg to advance to the Section VI Class C final. Rakoski also was named to the ECIC Conference I first team.
