Dana Young Coston

For over three decades, Dana has contributed her creativity and imagination to the Blondie legacy alongside her dad, Dean Young. But really, she can hardly remember a time when they weren’t collaborating; brainstorming gag ideas at the dinner table was a way of life in the Young household, making Blondie and Dagwood practically family members to her. Dana’s work on the strip mainly consists of writing, editorial direction, and being the second banana.

A proud Florida State University College of Business graduate, Dana was born and raised in sunny Clearwater, Florida, where she and her husband live today. Dana cherishes time spent with her three children and their expanding families. Her love of dogs has inspired a heartfelt commitment as a volunteer puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs, and she’s currently training her fourth guide dog, Mimi, with the goal of transforming the life of someone with vision loss.
