First, below your sleep score, scroll down to bottom of sleep section to see if it included 2nd part as "other sleep" without score.  If so, delete it. Then edit your 12:02 - 3:09 sleep session, changing 3:09 wake time to 7:00, so it will appear as one session, 12:02 - 7:00. If you don't know how to delete or edit sleep sessions, tap the 3 vertical buttons at top right of the "Sleep" section. I know sometimes it seems editing sleep to get the real values seems too much trouble, but unfortunately I don't know any way make it behave any better. Bu the way, if I recall correctly, the sleep duration you have set really has no bearing here.  I think it was just like a personal goal so you could compare how your actual bed time was comparing to what you had set as your preferred time in bed, or something like that. ... Go to the Exercise App on your wrist.  Separately, select each, before starting, swipe up to see options specific to that exercise type and turn off auto-start.  Apparently the update set that default to "On", as updates are often known to switch defaults.  That option is separate from the auto-detect.  After a few minutes, it makes it as if you had started it from the Exercise App. P.S. Apparently this wasn't actually a case of Fitbit/Google changing the default with an update.  I see now I guess this option was just added to the Inspire 3, although it was already available on a few other models. Connecting your phone as a device is supposed to only use phone's step's count when you are not wearing your fitbit tracker.  When you are wearing your fitbit, it should have no effect.  However there have been a few cases where people have noticed a huge sudden jump in step count (many tens of thousands of steps or more, added all at once), and the common thread seemed to be that they had their phone connected as a device, leading to an unverified suspicion that it was caused by a bug in that feature. Actually, if a phone were always kept in your hip pocket, it might get better total step count than a wearable on wrist, but fitbit on wrist is getting so much more info, including heart rate. No tracker worn on wrist can measure steps precisely because it doesn't really know what your legs are doing.  It can only tell what your wrist and arm are doing and infer steps from swinging of the arms that look like movements that go with walking.  If you play the drums or do a lot of knitting or such, you will probably get a lot of extra false steps and be better taking it off during those activities.  But otherwise, most people get a few extra steps sometimes and get a few steps missed, but over the course of a day, they pretty much even out.  And remember that heart rate is really a more important factor than steps for most measurements, including calories burned. ... I had similar case on Sense 2.  It seemed that once you had used that exercise choice so it was one of your main options, when you selected that choice again, it starts right up again before you can make any changes.  What I had to do was choose a few other different exercise types first to get my choice out of the main choices, then it would let me make option changes to it.  I guess like it's assuming once you set any options you will never change you mind so it's saving you the the trouble of "start" - maybe trying to be too smart for its own good. ...
