Two days ago we asked you to guess Johanna Paul’s job at Schaeffler. Here is the answer: She is a Project Manager for Change Management and People Development in our internal consultancy #SchaefflerConsulting. Find out what that means and what she likes best about her job! 👇#GuessMyJob #Reveal "Many people find it hard to imagine what exactly I do in my job all day, or they think of clichés about consultants, such as endlessly creating PowerPoint presentations and living out of a suitcase," says Johanna. The reality of her day-to-day work is very different: as an in-house consultant, she advises and supports Schaeffler colleagues in various functions, divisions and regions on changes of organizational, strategic or technical nature. Instead of the stereotypical wheeled suitcase, Johanna carries a backpack: “I didn't come here just to leave again," she emphasizes. "In my job, I do something completely different every day – but ultimately always with the same goal: to help Schaeffler grow." 🌱 To this end, Johanna and her colleagues coordinate and manage projects and workshops with customers, develop strategies and concepts for communication, change management and training initiatives. They also provide operational support for measures such as establishing employee networks or implementing communication formats. At Schaeffler, Johanna is never just a consultant, but also a sparring partner, supporter and, above all, a colleague for the teams she joins. Before coming to Schaeffler, Johanna had worked for an external consultancy for almost four years, leading projects in the automotive sector. "At some point, I wanted a change, while still staying true to the topic of change management and without turning my back on consulting completely," she recalls. Her job with us fulfills just that: "Before I started at Schaeffler, I was briefly worried that working for just one company might bore me after my years in external consulting," says Johanna. "But that was never the case: my day-to-day work is incredibly varied, no two days are the same." That’s not surprising – in her role as Project Manager, Johanna usually works on three to four different projects at the same time.
