Phillies’ Brandon Marsh has surgery, to be ready for Opening Day

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh underwent left knee arthroscopic debridement surgery Friday.

Marsh, 26, is expected to return to the diamond in three to four weeks and will be ready for Opening Day, the team announced.

Marsh batted .277 with 12 homers and 60 RBIs in 133 games last season.

He is hitting .259 with 25 homers and 131 RBIs in 337 career games with the Los Angeles Angels and Phillies.

The Phillies acquired Marsh in a trade with the Angels on Aug. 2, 2022 in exchange for catcher Logan O’Hoppe.
