The depleted New York Knicks and the staggered Minnesota Timberwolves try to find a fix tonight in a couple of highly anticipated Game 5s.

Today's menu also brings baseball and an opening night for the ages.
Let's eat!

Indiana Fever at Connecticut Sun (Caitlin Clark UNDER 21.5 Points)

It's Caitlin Clark Debut Day in the basketball universe, the first pro game for the player who, virtually single handedly, lifted women's basketball to an everyday conversation level.

Just more than a decade ago, that was largely unthinkable.

With that prominence comes great responsibility, and sports-betting opportunities!

Clark and the Indiana Fever visit the Connecticut Sun tonight in a game televised by ESPN2.

Bettors can find Clark props for points, rebounds, assists and 3-pointers made at most major sportsbooks.

FanDuel listed Clark's points at over/under 20.5 Tuesday morning, while DraftKings' number was 21.5.

The Sun will very likely target Clark at every opportunity, limiting her looks on offense but allowing her to fill the stat sheet. We'll fade her scoring but jump on the Clark versatility wagon for this one. She's not a one-trick pony; she's a very good basketball player.

Here’s a realistic Clark three-leg parlay that has a chance: 3+ made 3-pointers, 4+ rebounds and 6+assists (+120) at FanDuel.

Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks (Pacers Moneyline +110)

New York's injured list, with a few rookies and veterans' minimum guys, might be able to win 30 games in the NBA next season.

Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby, Bojan Bogdanovich headline a group that could have made this Knicks team a formidable contender. Right now? They're not.

The Pacers exploited New York's lack of depth Sunday, running the Knicks ragged in a convincing blowout.

While Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo received much-needed rest, the problem remains.

Indiana's Tyrese Haliburton has rediscovered his early-season feels, Aaron Nesmith is the answer to Brunson's prior dominance and Pacers coach Rick Carlisle knows his team must push the pace all night.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets

No doubt the Wolves' Anthony Edwards, in his formative NBA years, deserves comparisons with Michael Jordan – in Jordan's formative, pre-title NBA years.

But the knock on Ant and his teammates – they're not quite ready – seems much more believable after they dropped a pair at home.

Edwards will continue his quick-twitch excellence, but relying on Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns to win a series from the defending champs is a good way to lose money.

To that end, we'll back the Nuggets – at altitude – with a comfortable parlay against the now-consistent force of Anthony Edwards.

Three-leg parlay of Edwards OVER 22.5 points, Nikola Jokic over 41.5 points/rebounds/assists, Michael Porter Jr. OVER 11.5 points and the Nuggets moneyline (+139) at FanDuel.

Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres (Dylan Cease to record 8+ strikeouts -160)

Beautiful city, beautiful ballpark and a beautiful trend to tackle tonight.

Padres starter Dylan Cease is finding his top form, with metrics indicating better command and velocity.

His past four appearances? Eight strikeouts, five strikeouts, eight strikeouts and 12 strikeouts.

The zig-zag is in effect tonight.

In a win Monday night, the Rockies fanned only six times, but Colorado batters lead the National League in strikeouts. Cease will attack early and often.

Remember: You could be walking around lucky and not even know it.
