'Sing 2' DVD Release Date and Streaming Details
Fa la la laaaa! Sing is back with a sequel this weekend, and while Sing 2 is a theatrical release, you can still watch the original from the comfort of your own home. Five years after the original released in theaters, the family favorite movie has doubled down with a brand new saga full of harmonious encounters featuring koala bears, gorillas, piggies, and more animals. If you’re ready to watch the original first, though, we’ve got you covered.
While Sing 1 follows a series of animals as they compete in an American Idol-style show arranged by a broke Koala (Matthew McConaughey), Sing 2 follows the winners as they band together for an all new saga. If they want to proceed with their singing fun, they’ll need to convince stuck-up old performer Clay Calloway (Bono).
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though: here’s how to watch Sing on streaming before Sing 2.
Is Sing streaming on Netflix?
No, sorry. You’ll find a vast array of animated kids content on Netflix — like fellow koala-doting film Back to the Outback.
Where is Sing streaming? How to watch Sing before Sing 2:
Unfortunately, Sing isn’t streaming on any major platform on the moment. If you want to watch the kids flick, you’ll have to find it on VOD. Sing is available for rent starting from $3.99 or purchase from $9.99 on Google Play, iTunes, Microsoft Store, Prime Video, Vudu, or YouTube.
When will Sing 2 be on streaming? How and when to watch Sing 2 online:
There is not yet a digital or VOD release date for Sing 2. While we don’t have a date set in stone, we’re sure you and your kiddos won’t have to wait too long to watch the sequel from home.
Sing 2 is a Universal movie, and films from the studio have been released on digital after 17 days in theaters during the COVID pandemic. The studio has not, however, been following that schedule as consistently as it previously had been—the recent Universal movies Dear Evan Hansen and No Time To Die both landed on VOD about one month after opening in theaters. If Sing 2 follows a similar pattern, expect to see the movie on VOD in late January 2022. Stay tuned for more information.
