    • The Delhi High Court has reserved its order on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest by the CBI in the Excise Policy money laundering case, as well as on his interim bail. The court has scheduled the regular bail plea hearing for July 29. Kejriwal's senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi argued that his arrest was unwarranted, describing it as an "insurance arrest" despite favorable release orders in related cases.
    • Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, represented by senior counsel Abhishek Singhvi, argued before the Delhi High Court that his arrest by the CBI in the alleged excise policy scam was unjustified and termed it an "insurance arrest." Singhvi emphasized Kejriwal's entitlement to bail, citing previous release orders in his favor under stringent provisions.
    • The Delhi High Court has listed a plea by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) challenging bail granted to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case involving the alleged excise scam. The ED argued that the trial court's order was "perverse", "one-sided" and "wrong-sided" and that the findings were based on irrelevant facts. Kejriwal, who was arrested by the ED and the CBI in March and June, argued that discretionary orders of bail cannot be set aside merely on "perceptions and fanciful imagination" of the prosecution.
    • Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. Earlier, Soren also had meetings with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife and AAP MP Sanjay Singh, as well as Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. • AAP MP Sanjay Singh accused the BJP and the Central government of endangering Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's life while in custody, claiming Kejriwal lost 8.5 kg and experienced dangerously low blood sugar levels multiple times. Singh emphasized the urgent need for medical attention for Kejriwal, warning of potential serious health consequences if he remains in jail. In response, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva dismissed these claims, alleging that AAP exaggerates Kejriwal's health issues for political gain, citing instances where Kejriwal did not seek medical treatment despite being granted bail.
