Computer science opens up possibilities for every student

Educators give their students confidence in computer science (CS), advance their computational thinking skills, and prepare them for the future.

  • We're invested in making education more equitable for students in all communities. Our products and programs aim to address disparities in CS education, especially for students from historically underrepresented communities, and to help equip teachers with computer science resources to prepare their students for their futures.

Google has committed over $263 million to closing computing education equity gaps.

  • We work alongside communities to close CS education equity gaps, supporting innovative organizations like Scratch, The Hidden Genius Project and CodePath to help all students learn computer science and digital skills, working toward tech-based careers.

Mildred Johnson

As a fifth-grade science and social studies teacher at North Salisbury Elementary School in Salisbury, Maryland, Mildred uses Google’s free computer science curriculum, CS First, to empower her students to create and share engaging class projects.

Organizations we support

To expand computer science education and help students, especially those in marginalized communities, develop future skills, we partner directly with innovative organizations and support non-profits through Google.org funding.
