Formatting trouble

[edit]

Detailing all of the constituent sections of the song "B-Boy Bouillabaisse" in group5 = Other songs as was done in this edit breaks proper line break behaviour due to the nesting of a very long item in a list. This breakage (or rather non-breakage, as this causes excessively long unbroken lines which cause an excessively wide template box, which is a problem for users of e.g. 1024x768 displays), again, this breakage was introduced through the addition of this line:

* "B-Boy Bouillabaisse" ("59 Chrystie Street" "Get on the Mic" "Year and a Day" "Hello Brooklyn" "Dropping Names" "Mike on the Mic" "A.W.O.L.")

I am commenting out the constituent sections to avoid these formatting problems. If anyone can find a better solution that is also compatible with smaller monitors, have at it. But don't edit the sections back in without fixing the formatting problem. I.e. don't just reintroduce the formatting trouble. 31.18.253.188 (talk) 16:17, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

Some Old Bullshit and The In Sound From Way Out! are compilations so I moved them. --Ballchef 10:33, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

buh?

[edit]

Why is "Running With Scissors" listed in the "related articles"? It's currently a disambig page, and nothing listed there appears to have anything to do with the Beastie Boys. - Ugliness Man 04:53, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I asked around and I did a Google search, and as far as I can tell, the only connection is that on "Weird Al" Yankovic's album Running with Scissors, the polka medly "Polka Power!" includes "Intergalactic". I'm a big fan of Al, but I hardly think this connection is strong enough to make it a "related article". I'm removing it, if anyone wishes to restore it, please leave a note here explaining. - Ugliness Man 07:48, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help out!

[edit]

Look at me! You should all realize that I'm creating all the other song articles myself! I'm okay with that but it would be nice if you guys helped. :) --BlooWilt on the wikiprowl, later! 23:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not Producers

[edit]

Several of the people listed under producers are/were actually musicians, not producers. Suggest renaming the section or splitting it into two separate ones. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.130.55.78 (talk) 21:43, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Biz Markie?

[edit]

Shouldn't Biz Markie be in the related people section? 137.229.65.164 (talk) 04:35, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Beastie Boys portal was recently deleted. I've removed the red link from the template. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 08:31, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Members in bold

[edit]

Putting Kate Schellenbach and John Berry as 'members' is deceptive. Should they be moved into the Related People section? All albums feature the 3 core members. The 3 core members ARE The Beastie Boys, anything else detracts from reality. 193.61.240.189 (talk) 11:54, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
