Martin Roberts is the current presenter of the BBC1 series, Homes Under the Hammer along with co-presenter Lucy Alexander. Born in Warrington in Cheshire, Martin has also presented several other programmes including 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is' and 'How to Survive the Property Crisis', both for the BBC as well as ITV's travel programme 'Wish You Were Here'.

Martin has been working as a property developer since the early 1990s and he now owns a specialist investment property company. Martin also edits the travel section of Woman magazine as well as contributing to several other publications either on the subject of property development of travel[1].

Martin is often compared to eighties pop legend Simon Le Bon for sporting a similar haircut and sharing a similar dress sense. He is also known to be a fan of writer and broadcaster Danny Wallace and has been known to have attended at least one of his book readings[2].

Martin attended Bradford University and studied engineering in the mid 1980s, it was during this period that his obsession with Simon Le Bon developed.
