Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys is a 2014 documentary film directed by Brian Stillman about Kenner's action figures based on the Star Wars franchise.

Release

It was released on DVD on January 14, 2014.[1][2] It began streaming on Vimeo on October 3, 2014.[3]

Reception

Substream Magazine awarded it a score of 5 out of 5 stars, saying " is a must-have for fans of Star Wars and collectors alike."[4] Flickering Myth awarded it a score of four of four stars, saying "But the film is essentially a love letter to Star Wars toys – and a very enjoyable love letter at that."[5] Influx Magazine said "while the documentary Plastic Galaxy may appeal to a very small audience, it is fairly easy to get pulled into the tractor beam of tales spun by its subjects."[6] Media Mikes called it "a fun film from start to finish that can be watched by the whole family."[7]
