Abisoye Ajayi-Akinfolarin (Born Abisoye Abosede Ajayi, 19 May 1985) is a Nigerian social-impact entrepreneur and an I.T Consultant, with over 12 years experience in the Nigerian technology space. She is the founder and managing consultant of I&T Training and Consulting Limited, an I.T consulting firm in Lagos. She is also the founder of Pearls Africa Youth Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at equipping young girls in under-served areas in Nigeria with functional skills in technology, vocational skill acquisition, mentor-ship, internships and personal development for the purpose of economic independence..[1][2]

Early life and education

Abisoye was born in Akure, the capital city of Ondo state in Nigeria to the family of Late Chief James Olaniyi Ajayi and Late Mrs. Titilayo Christina Ajayi. She attended Bishop Hughes Memorial primary school Ijapo Estate, Akure, Ondo State for her primary education. She had her secondary school education at Federal Girls College Akure, Ondo State and Command Secondary School, Jos, Plateau State. She went on to the Nigerian Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) to advance her knowledge in technology, after which she proceeded to the University of Lagos, Akoka for her tertiary education, where she bagged a B.Sc in Business Administration while working at the same time, with E. D. P Audit and Security Associates, an I. T Audit firm where she worked as a Data Analyst and got professional certificates making her a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD) and Oracle Certified Database Administrator (OCDBA).

Professional career

Abisoye, started her career and professional life at E. D. P Audit and Security Associates where she worked for 7 Years, starting off as an intern and rising to the level of Associate Consultant.

In 2013, Abisoye founded Pearls Africa Youth Foundation[3], a Non-Governmental Organisation providing functional skills to young girls thus improving on their quality of life, and helping them attain economic independence before the age of 18 through various programs including; GirlsCoding, G.C Mentors, GirlsInSTEM and Empowered Hands. GirlsCoding, which has been running since 2015 hopes to add 20,000 young girls into the male-dominated Nigerian technology space by the year 2020[4].

In 2017, She Launched a Safe Space called LadyLabs Innovation Hub[5][6] for young girls and women who are passionate about technology.

She has granted interviews in The Punch, Newspapers[7], Business Day Sparkle Magazine and online platforms promoting women in technology.[8][9]as well as television interviews on Arise TV, Channels, OnTV, EuroNews, and many others.


International visitors leadership programme

In August 2017, Abisoye attended the International Visitors Leadership Program[10], a professional exchange program funded by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs[11], and boasts of 35 current and 300 former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government as alumni. She was the only Nigerian in attendance among 20 other nationals taking the theme: Education and Activism for Young Women.
