Ramzi Najjar, other names, Ramzi Al-Najjar, Ramsay George Najjar, (died 19 November 2020) was a Lebanese business executive, journalist, and writer.[1] He was the founder of Saatchi & Saatchi Levant where also served as a chief executive officer.[2][3] He also founded Strategic Communication Consultancy (S2C) where served as the managing partner.[4][5] He also served as the head of the Lebanese Syndicate of Advertising Agencies (LSAA).[6]

Career

He received his Bachelors of Arts in Comparative Literature and Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the American University of Beirut.[7][8] He was also known for his contribution to the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts.[9]

In 1992, he established Saatchi & Saatchi Lebanon branch.[10]

In 2002, he established Strategic Communication Consultancy (S2C), a strategic communication consultancy firm.[10]

He was known for his books such as Arab Philosophy Through History, So That God Comes Back to Lebanon and The Right Not to Remain Silent.[2][11]

He also produced an educational television program The Distinguished.[12]

He died on 19 November 2020 due to 2019-20 COVID-19 pandemic related complications in Beirut.[8] After his death, Elie Jabre, chief executive officer of DDB Lebanon tributed Ramzi for his contributions to advertising industry in Lebanon.[13]
