Vlakplaas is a farm that served as the headquarters of a counterinsurgency unit working for the apartheid government in South Africa. The counterinsurgency unit took its name from the farm. The unit that operated from there was commanded by Eugene de Kock.

Vlakplaas is well known as the site of multiple executions of political opponents of the apartheid government. [1]
