Template:Country data Eswatini is an internal data container not intended to be transcluded directly. It is used indirectly by templates such as flag, flag icon, and others.
This template is within the scope of WikiProject Flag Template, a collaborative effort to maintain flag templates on Wikipedia. A more thorough discussion of the flag template system, including parameters not described here, can be found on the project page.
Rather than redirecting {{Country data Swaziland}} to {{Country data Eswatini}}, the former template transcludes the latter and passes through all parameters. The linked article will always be "Eswatini", but the displayed name is either "Swaziland" or "Eswatini" based on which of the two templates is used, even in templates that usually have a fixed default display name (such as {{flag country}} and {{fb}}). This allows for "Swaziland" to be used in historical contexts without having to also set |name=.
