Oasix (Burmese: အိုအေစစ်; born Thet Ko Tun on 18 December 1992) is a Burmese hip hop singer. He is best known for his hip hop music and rose to fame with his debut album, Pyaw San Par.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Oasix was born on 18 December 1992 in Mandalay, Myanmar. His father Tun Wai, was a former judge of Mandalay District. He is the third son of four siblings, having an two older brothers and younger brother. He attended the high school at Basic Education High School (14) Mandalay and graduated in "English" from Yadanabon University.[4][5]

Oasix started out on his music career as a member of the underground outfit Wild Boy while still a university student, composing songs and singing together and released 2 solo mixtape, "The First Mixtape" in 2011, "The Running Mixtape" in 2013. Wild Boy group was disbanded in the some year. Since then he started working with mainstream artists. He gained recognition in music industry with numerous hit songs, including "Nin ", "Bal Thu Ko Chit Lae ", "Kal Thu Mae Alinn " and "A Chit Pyaing Pwal ".[1]

Oasix released a collaborative album "Pyaw San Par " (Say) which was a duet album with singer Y-Zet on 24 December 2015.[1] Since then, he has released a collaborative album, participated in many group albums and performed in many concerts.[6][1] He started endeavoring to be able to produce and distribute a solo album. His solo album "1992" will drop in December 2018.[3][7][8]
