"Abi Dawud" is fully in line with the 'basic transcription' used throughout Wikipedia for Arabic article titles. Revision as of 17:33, 26 February 2024

If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."

  • To list a technical request: edit the Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:

    {{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}

    This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
  • If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
  • If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

@Piotrus: Please start an WP:RM per WP:TITLECHANGES it has been at this this title for almost three years. Lightoil (talk) 04:45, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The current name is consistent with all other Guam election articles. Bensci54 (talk) 17:26, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ergonomics  Human Factors (currently a redirect back to Ergonomics) (move · discuss) – Ergonomics and Human Factors are not interchangeable terms in the US. Internationally they are sometimes used interchangeably in conversation but not when being applied. Ergonomics primarily addresses the body's interactions with the environment, whereas Human Factors addresses the mind's interactions. The distinction is important, so as not confuse those looking to learn more about each field. HFanatic (talk) 15:27, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This was moved to its currently location on an RM only a month ago. A move will require an RM. Bensci54 (talk) 17:33, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you're looking to make an article for Ergonomics and another for Human factors, as you say they are not the same, then WP:SPLIT is the procedure, not WP:RMT. 162 etc. (talk) 22:48, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
