I finally have one reference but it is not high quality. --Filll 15:23, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ancient Romans were the "inventors" of thermal baths because Italy was blessed by mother nature with thousands of hot water lakes and springs in Veneto (Abano, Montegrotto), Lombardia, Toscana (Saturnia, Bagni San Filippo, Bagno a Vignoni, San Casciano de' Bagni), Lazio (Viterbo, Civitavecchia), Campania (Ischia), Puglia (S. Cesarea), Sicily (Sciacca). Romans eventually "exported" SPA (salutem per aquam) troughout Europe. Your article about hot water springs

Well you are free to add any hot springs you think are notable to the article. Obviously we cannot have all of them because there are too many to list.--Filll 14:56, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in the process of building a separate page for Hot Springs in New Zealand (since there's lots of them). I'll add in a link once I get the page up. Malathos 18:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent. New Zealand is very famous for its hot springs, but we have none listed yet at all, which is a bit embarassing.--Filll 18:43, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure. It depends on how you define your terms probably. I would be quite surprised if this was true, however.--Filll 16:55, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shearwater Hot Springs

[edit]

it's a redlink for now, the only Shearwater name in the area of Gardner Canal is Shearwater Point BC Names entry, I'm assuming it's there; I've heard mention of such a hot spring but no location given anywhere that I know to cite it from (as yet).Skookum1 (talk) 18:15, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Format suggestions for this list

[edit]

Hello to anyone watching this list article! It is badly in need of some standardized formatting. I've started to do some clean up, and wanted to hear feedback on formatting. I'm suggesting the same basic order of sections, with standardization of how each list of hot springs for that geographical place (see below). IMO, photos should all be the same width whether vertical or horizonal, and all flush right. If a section has a general description it should go after the heading and be no more than one or two sentences. Should there be a guideline for citations or redlinks? Should we get rid of the table for Greece, or create tables for each geographic area? Do we want to include the latitude & longitude coordinates for each spring if available? Please add thoughts on other formats if you have other or better ideas.

Name of Country

[edit]

Name of state or province

[edit]
  • Name of region (if applicable)
    • Name of hot spring (alphabetized) (°F / °C)

If there is no region, then a simple bullet before the name of each hot spring. Ever onward, Netherzone (talk) 18:04, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijan

[edit]

I don't see Azerbaijan in this list. There are hotsprings in Kalabajar İstisu. KY-Acc (talk) 23:48, 25 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
