[edit]

Block evasion. N.edits335 created 4 Nov, and immediately resumed precocious edits at Fairy Tale (Pakistani TV series) and three other articles by master, and a dozen more by blocked sock User:Nnn edits. Recreated Draft:Namak Haram (previously created by User:Nnn edits) at Draft:Namak Haram (TV series) and Draft:Sukoon at Draft:Sukoon (Pakistani TV series). User talk posts in very similar style and grammar, mostly arguing about policy. Wikishovel (talk) 08:53, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Possible SPI overlap: N.edits335 has also created Draft:Zulqarnain Sikandar. Zulqarnain Sikandar was created by a sockpuppet of User:NasirRanjhyWala, and speedied G5. Wikishovel (talk) 09:03, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Created about a week after prior sock was blocked. Early edits included adding an infobox, adding categories and using references, unusual for new editors. They've both edited Draft:Rah-e-Junoon and Dicraft788 is heavily creating new Pakistani television articles, as were prior socks. Ravensfire (talk) 15:53, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nauman335 blocked on October 13, 2023 for WP:NOTHERE. User:Dicraft788 blocked on November 27, 2023 for being a sock of Nauman335. User:Roundabout777 (similar style to Dicraft788) made their first edit on November 23, 2023. Editing same and similar topics. Also note the IP activity on the pages edited by Roundabout777. These are similar to those I sent in email as private evidence related to another SPI case I filed a couple weeks ago on User:Bikrookanpurgangster. You can see editing of Kabuli Pulao by both Roundabout777 and the IP range. Roundabout777 has also edited Hum Tum (2022 TV series), the same page edited by WikiiUsee (a now blocked SOCK of Bikrookanpurgangster). Believe this is the same paid editing company listed here. Looks like new accounts involved in an attempt to finish work for their clients. I have a list of 20+ other accounts that are SPA and editing the same pages as those listed here, but will only supply if requested so as not to bog down the CU process. CNMall41 (talk) 21:56, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I also see Roundabout777 editing Draft:Jhoom (TV series) which was heavily edited by User:I'm NaUmAn MaLiK, a now blocked sock of Nauman335. --CNMall41 (talk) 22:01, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Final note, both Nauman335 and Roundabout777 have their edits tagged as coming from mobile and an Android device. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:53, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is part of multiple sock farms but this is the most likely master. Filing because the blocked socks are now editing while logged out from an IP range. Have reqeusted page protection on some pages but they are circumventing the system by creating new pages under the IP range (previously deleted for being created by socks) in hopes we don't delete the pages. If we can confirm the IPs are related, I would request at least blocks of the specific IPs (maybe a range block) and then have the pages deleted so volunteers can create them if they see fit. I understand based on this discussion that CU may be limited but still hoping we can confirm they are part of this SOCK group.

Here is the rabbit hole that I have been chasing:

Gunjal just created by 223.123.13.14. They also created John (2023 film) which was deleted recently for being created by blocked/banned user as part of an SPI investigation of User:Nauman335. Also adding 223.123.9.156 who added a wikilink for Gunjal to the Omair Rana page on December 8, 2023 (note that this IP also edited John (film) and they are editing from an Adroid device (same as socks in Nauman335).

Draft:Fairy Tale 2 (Pakistani TV series), created by 223.123.18.136 on November 25, 2023. Two minutes later edited by confirmed SOCK user:Roundabout777 (sock of Master:Nauman335). Note that these ips have a tag of being edited from an Android mobile device, the same as the socks in the investigation for user:Roundabout777. Draft also edited by the same IP range from the following addresses (note that many are editing the same pages):

  • 223.123.9.139
  • 223.123.23.185
  • 223.123.15.127
  • 223.123.13.40
  • 223.123.15.215

Other pages edited by the above IP 223.123.13.40: Fairy Tale (Pakistani TV series). Also edited by blocked socks Roundabout777, N.edits335, Nnn edits, and Nauman335. Edits include other IP address edits (at least one blocked), but the 223 range edited it from:

  • 223.123.55.235
  • 223.123.3.25
  • 223.123.13.40
  • 223.123.15.215
  • 223.123.7.156
  • 223.123.18.136

IP 223.123.15.215 also edited Draft:Khaqan Shahnawaz which was originally created by IP 223.123.23.185. Note that IP 223.123.23.185 also edited Khushhal Khan (actor) which was also edited by now blocked socks N.edits335 and Nauman335.

IP 223.123.9.139 created the page Hadsa which was also edited by now banned SOCK Roundabout777.

Kabuli Pulao was edited by Roundabout777 on December 1, 2023. Similar IP range also edited that page within a month of Roundabout777. These accounts are:

  • 223.123.9.178
  • 223.123.0.127
  • 223.123.9.239
  • 223.123.13.249

223.123.9.239 also edited Razia (TV series) which was also edited by now blocked sock master:Nauman335. Also edited 101 Talaqain which was edited heavily by now blocked sock user:JAWGED and created by IP 39.34.175.76. That IP also edited Arjumand Rahim which was heavily edited by now user:WikiiUsee (now blocked sock of Nauman335). Arjumand Rahim was also edited by IP 223.123.9.214 , only 8 days after the WikiiUsee edits. CNMall41 (talk) 06:54, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note - Based on this, I think a dent is being made into their UPE. --CNMall41 (talk) 08:01, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Adding four more to the list - IP 223.123.5.187 removed paid editing tag from Gunjal, a page that was created by 223.123.13.14 on December 6, 2023. Page was also edited by 223.123.0.30 and 223.123.13.125 during that period. Note that this page was previously deleted on December 5, 2023 as it was created by a sock of Nauman335.--CNMall41 (talk) 22:12, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Jo-Jo Eumerus:, thanks for the comment below. A range block would certainly help as chasing these socks is starting to take away from the enjoyment of editing Wikipedia. If you look at the range, they are mainly editing Bollywood film related pages that have also been heavily editing by socks. To me, it is clearly the same agency already reported at COIN and added to the list of paid editing companies here on Wikipedia. They are simply editing while logged out in order to create pages that were deleted based off G5. --CNMall41 (talk) 23:45, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Adding two users above (Kkb091 and Masood Anil). Page Zayn Khan created by these IPs and page was taken to AfD where both are mobile editors and advocating to keep the page. Both are SPAs with one having a dozen edits and the other a little over a hundred. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:03, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not a checkuser, but I am sure they can't link accounts to IP addresses. I notice that the range 223.123.0.0/18 is partially blocked but I didn't check their contributions in depth to determine whether a rangeblock is appropriate. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 13:30, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note the OS is the same as other Nauman335 socks. --CNMall41 (talk) 00:42, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Adding User:MaG45443 to the list. Account created today, also submission of drafts through AfC in same topic area as the others, same style username, and same operating system.
@Spicy: @MarioGom:, I just added User:Unnoon338 who is obviously DUCK. Account created today and picking up where the other blocked accounts left off. Hoping we can get a DUCK block on them based on the OS, editing behavior, and similar username. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:03, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Most recent socks working on Draft:Akhara (TV series), Draft:Khaie, and Draft:Serial Killer (Pakistani TV series). They previously (and again today) have been using IPs in order to avoid the block/ban. Resubmitting the drafts in an attempt to avoid the previous blocks. Not only is editing behavior the same, but also using the same operating system for many of the edits. Also note that user:PAKEDIT123 is one that was NOT previously included in any of the SPI reports filed, but noticed it while logging the IP addresses for this filing. CNMall41 (talk) 20:30, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

One IP is back to removing the redirect from a page that sock has relentlessly attempted over the last month. --CNMall41 (talk) 20:49, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They also created some additional articles which I moved to draftspace. Looks like a different OS so they may have finally read the SPIs that were previously filed. In the very least, it is MEAT and undisclosed PAID. --CNMall41 (talk) 21:00, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Additional evidence as it appears they may be editing from proxy or different location. IP:39.34.184.141 editing the page Mawra Hocane which was previously edited by user:WikiiUsee, a sock of Jha09. Note that these farms are all closely related and likely the same paid editing firm. I also have additional information on a more experienced user that I will be emailing in the next hour. --CNMall41 (talk) 05:26, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
More evidence, this one for IP:39.34.172.106, who edited Ishq Murshid, a few days after being edited by now blocked sock user:N335786.--CNMall41 (talk) 06:10, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Private information for this SPI just sent to checkuser email with subject "SPI Case - Nauman335." --CNMall41 (talk) 06:39, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Adding User:IK804, account created on January 30, 2024 with Android OS. Left message on my talk page about Draft:Khaie, a draft this account has never edited (but edited by IPs listed above and other SOCKS of Nauman335). --CNMall41 (talk) 20:33, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
More on IK804, they edited the page Meray Paas Tum Ho, within 2 hours of edits to the same page by user:Azlankazmi (see below filing with Azlankazmi in other SPI). --CNMall41 (talk) 21:02, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  •  In progress - preliminary findings: IK804 is  Technically indistinguishable from Nauman335. PAKEDIT123 sometimes operates out of the same IP range, but there are some differences - certainly  Possible, will need to look harder at that one. Looking at the accounts in the report below to get a better overview before taking any action. Girth Summit (blether) 11:38, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, I'm convinced on both of the accounts. As I said, IK804 is indistinguishable from numerous previous socks. I was initially uncertain about PAKEDIT123, but their footprint is identical to that of the blocked sock Roundabout777, listed as confirmed to this case, so I'm blocking both of them. No comment on the IPs in this case - someone else will need to look at them and determine if any of them need blocking. Girth Summit (blether) 11:52, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • IPs are stale, no point in blocking.  Requested actions completed, closing The WordsmithTalk to me 03:30, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Again (as with previous SPI filings), some of these socks likely overlap with other sock farms in the film-related space. I firmly believe these are all the same company but have editors in various locations which is why so much overlap. Assigning to Nauman335 based on the OS of some of the socks, but likely can be associated with others listed below in comments such as ANASKHAN777 and Helloo 68 based on editing behavior.

User:Azlankazmi created account on January 9, 2024. Editing from Android OS. Recent contributions made to Ishq Murshid which has been heavily edited by Nauman335 socks user:MaG45443 and user:N335786 (also both Android OS).

Ip Range 39.XX has also been editing the same sock pages and listed in previous Nauman335 report currently awaiting CU. IP 39.62.182.122 edited Saba Qamar in an attempt to change name of page Tere Ik Nazar (redirect) to Teri Ik Nazar (non-existent page at the time). That edit was reverted and then 22 minutes later restored by user:Pllutin who created a new page for Teri Ik Nazar 5 minutes prior to that time.

Pllutin also created page Sar-e-Rah in April 2023 before it was moved to draft space. It was then recreated by user:Avadh990 who is a blocked sock of ANASKHAN777, a sock farm also using the IP 39.XX range. Also editing other pages that have been edited by these sock farms, including ANASKHAN777 and Nauman335. Note that user:Pllutin also includes creation of pages to update awards such as those winning Lux Style Awards. This behavior is similar to that of the sock farm for user:Helloo 68. Most recent edit at time of filing that came from Pllutin is for the page Aagha Ali which was edited by user:Dicraft788 (now blocked sock of Nauman335). The edit by Pllutin is the first to that page since the revert of sock edits by Dicraft778. CNMall41 (talk) 20:55, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Girth Summit:, As stated here, HUGE THANKS!!! I know this was a rabbit hole and I appreciate you taking the time out of your personal enjoyment to take care of it. I will mention that you are likely correct about Qwef1234. I had emailed some private info to CU email so you finding this in your check would only confirm the suspicion. Thanks for that. I also understand about the IPs above. Was just hoping to connect them to the three drafts (based on DUCK at least since the other socks were also editing) so we can get those G5'd. Either way, this is huge for what you found. Again, thanks!!!--CNMall41 (talk) 01:54, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In classic Nauman335 style, new account created on February 4, 2024 and goes right to Draft:Chikkar (film) and submits to AfC. Draft originally created as Chikkar (film) by 39.34.184.141 before being moved to draft. This IP is associated with the sock farm and awaiting CU comments from previous filing. Note that Wys777 is editing with same OS as most Nauman335 socks. CNMall41 (talk) 23:23, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User also added the page Khaie to Zeb Bangash. Note that it was moved to draft previously for being created by socks. This user also created and submitted Draft:Khaie (2024) under a disambiguation title in an attempt to avoid detection. --CNMall41 (talk) 23:26, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And today edited Jaan-e-Jahan, a page where edits were recently rolled back that were made by user:MaG45443, a now blocked sock of Nauman335.--CNMall41 (talk) 21:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Page Gumn was deleted on the 4th per G5 based on creation by Nauman335 sock user:Qwef1234. User:Metamentalist (account created on December 21, 2023) requested it be restored so it is back in the mainspace. Interaction tool shows a ton of same page editing which I believe is more than a coincidence for an account only 6 weeks old. A check of the edit history by user also shows editing pages from other sock farms as well so may be associated with the whole lot. CNMall41 (talk) 22:43, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Metamentalist added the film Khaie to Shamil Khan today. There are now two drafts (one here which was heavily edited by Nauman335 farm and here which was created by user:Wys777 reported above on February 4th).--CNMall41 (talk) 19:25, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also have IP adding the Wikilink which could potentially be LOS. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:30, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Adding user:M.Nauman123 for obvious name reasons, but also editing Ishq Murshid, a favorite target for Nauman335 socks. Note the OS of this user as it is possible they are in the same group as Sock:Cricket Butterfly (I believe these are all the same at this point). IP:39.34.168.88 also editing right after M.Nauman123 on the same pages so likely LOS. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:42, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At this point, I believe a CU can only confirm what is already obvious. User:M.Nauman123 added link to page Mariam Saleem, a page created by and mainly edited by now blocked Nauman335 sock Qwef1234. --CNMall41 (talk) 22:02, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So as per you everyone who edit articles related to Pakistani television and film industry is a sock. It's so unfair just because editing methods are similar you've blocked them on this assumption that they might be socks. Somewhere it discourages editors to join and contribute Wikipedia. I demand equal and fair opportunity to edit articles with respect to Pakistani media and kindly have SPI for User:Qwef1234 and User:Lillyput4455. I created multiple articles and they were just deleted on baseless assumptions and now I'm so demotivated to create new articles. I request administrators to kindly look into the matter as I requested User:Liz earlier for the same. 182.182.8.51 (talk) 13:52, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Are we not supposed to update projects and actors? It's weird that just because of common interest of multiple users you are assuming and imposing baseless suspections. User:Pppery and User:Explicit, Kindly look into the matter or take it to concerned authorities. I had IP 182.182.8.51, now I've created a new account. Their only other edit, three minutes after the post above, was to !vote "keep" at WP:Articles for deletion/Teri Ik Nazar [1]. In classic fashion, sock M.Nauman123 blocked on the 12th of February and on the 15th new account From14 was created. Same OS as many of the Nauman335 socks and goes right to editing the same pages. Obvious is moving Khaie to mainspace (already moved back to draft from previous Naman335 socks). JenieLo created on February 10, 2024 also editing same topics and you can see that they sometimes edit from the same OS (tells me they are getting smarted and trying to switch devices on occasion). Working same Nauman335 pages including moving Serial Killer (TV series) to mainspace from draft. Note that Serial Killer (TV series) was edited by both JeanieLo and From14 on the same day. On a side note, this is too DUCKISH and I am moving the articles back to draft space and undoing other edits as obvious disruption by UPEs while awaiting CU. CNMall41 (talk) 10:52, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also note the two accounts are discussing content on a talk page is if those of us here are two stupid to know the game they are playing. --CNMall41 (talk) 10:53, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Third account (Grove567) created on February 18, 2024. Working same topics and using same OS. --CNMall41 (talk) 10:54, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also note user:Metamentalist who is editing around these two accounts. Metamentalist is listed in a previous SPI for Nauman335 awaiting CU.--CNMall41 (talk) 10:58, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
From14 also just recreated Suno Chanda 2 which is from this sock farm so either these farms are one and the same (which has been my assumption to this point) or both are being hired to do the same project. --CNMall41 (talk) 22:26, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sock back as user:KnownIt. Created account on February 26, 2024 and edited Talk:Fairy Tale (Pakistani TV series). Maybe a coincidence (likely not) the other edits to the talk page are from Namaum335, Nnn edits (blocked sock of Nauman335) and and IP of Nauman335. Also creating Draft:Aasmaan Bolay Ga in similar style as Nauman335 socks and not realistic that a new user could create a draft with such precision with only a few live edits to the mainspace. Also same OS as other socks in the farm. CNMall41 (talk) 22:14, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I Can't understand why User:CNMall41 mentioned my account in this Investigation Page for just I edit a Page which was also edit by a Block or Sock account. This is totally unfair that who edits Pakistani media related articles is a sock. I noticed that User:CNMall41 are blocking every account who edits Pakistani Television Series Related Articles or Revert them. As It stay always, there will be the no article left about Pakistani media related topics. I request to Close this Investigation and Don't make me a suspicious account or mentioned me as a Sock. I Just edit some minor things which is about Pakistani television series related articles, which is also may be edited by Socks. I'm here to clear your Doubts that I'm not a Sock account I'm just came on Wikipedia to Work on the New Draft:Aasmaan Bolay Ga article which i want to create. IP 59.103.218.147 recreates Draft:Daghabaaz dil, a draft that was previously created as Draft:Daghabaaz Dil and moved to mainspace on march 31, 2024 by Nen007 (a sock of Nauman335). Original page deleted on April 1, 2024 per G5. The IP also edited Green Entertainment (likely client of Nauman335 with related pages edited and deleted as SOCKs). Also edited Kabuli Pulao, a common sock target of Nauman335 (specifially account Roundabout777). CNMall41 (talk) 19:07, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is probably going to be in the same IP range for multiples as a common Nauman335 target (user Roundabout777) page Kabuli Pulao was edited by IP 59.103.218.56 on the 6th, with the next edit by IP 59.103.218.147 four days later. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:14, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A user filed one for Arter786 here. I made a note that they are likely under Nauman335. Actually, I will go out on a limb (a strong one) and say they ARE Nauman335. --CNMall41 (talk) 04:45, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Adding user:RoyalCharm to the list. They created a redirect from Pagal Khana to Green Entertainment (strong liklihood they are one of the clients of the UPE farm). Within an hour, Arter786 removes that redirect and creates the page. Moved back to draft space and declined for the time being. Looking at the edit history of RoyalCharm, they have only 26 edits and believe it or not (note my sarcasm), they are editing Nauman335 pages including Breaking News (Pakistani TV series), Ishq Murshid, and Kashif Nisar. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:31, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Likely WP:LOUTSOCKing which seems more common with the film-related sock farms trying to circumvent blocks. IP creates Draft:Gumn, a page G5'd at Gumn as created by User:Qwef1234 (now blocked sock of Nauman335). Also created Wonderland (Pakistani TV series) (under IP 182.182.87.7 but also updated from IP 182.182.3.200). Note that both of these are under Green Entertainment which is likely one of the clients behind the UPE of Nauman335. CNMall41 (talk) 19:08, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I feel that technical evidence may not definitively prove the connection due to the sophistication of our serial socks, so it's important to evaluate this case based on behavioral evidence.

BeauSuzanne's pattern of creating BLPs on non-notable Pakistani actors first in draft namespace and subsequently moving them fraudulently to the main namespace mirrors the behavior of Qwef1234 (talk · contribs) - See BeauSuzanne's moves and Qwef1234's moves. It's not merely coincidental that both exhibit similar behavioral patterns and focus on the same area of interest.

When I began scrutinizing BLPs created by BeauSuzanne and initiated an ANI report, BeauSuzanne remained composed and engaged in discussions. However, upon raising suspicions about BeauSuzanne potentially being a sock of Nauman335, BeauSuzanne promptly lodged a complaint against me here. While it's uncertain whether BeauSuzanne is indeed connected to Nauman335, I believe it's prudent to file this report with the available evidence at hand. —Saqib (talk | contribs) 19:37, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at this closer based on a message left on my talk page. Editor interaction tool shows hundreds of pages that have been cross-edited which by itself is not conclusive but does raise a flag. Some of the pages there are edits within minutes (or even seconds) of each other. What does stand out is how quickly these accounts edit on new page creations.

For instance, BeauSuzanne creates the page Inayat Khan (actor) and within less than an hour, Qwef1234 comes along and adds an image, with BeauSuzanne continue to edit minutes after. Another is Seema (Pakistani film) which was created by Qweff1234 and then edited by BeauSuzanne on the same day. It raises questions as to how both accounts know these pages exist so quickly. I originally thought it could be from placing the pages into a WikiProject category but looking at Seema, the talk page was not tagged with a project until 7 days after both accounts edited. Here are some additional examples. Note there are dozens more but I am not going to take 4 hours to list them all out:

  • Din (TV series), created by BeauSuzanne on December 5, 2023 with their last edit at 16:29, Qwef1234 comes and edits 31 minutes later.
  • Nabeela (actress), created by BeauSuzanne on March 28, 2023 with their last edit at 14:13, Qwef1234 comes along at 14:50 and starts editing.
  • Jamila Razzaq, created by BeauSuzanne on April 16, 2023 (late night) with last edit early morning of April 17th, Qwef1234 comes along less than two hours later and edits.
  • Raza Mir, although created by BeauSuzanne in 2022, the back and forth editing comes from both accounts starting in February 2023 and continues through April.
  • Chann Mahi, a page that has existed since 2007 with very few edits. Edited by both Beau Suzanne and Qweef1234 within 2 hours of each other on February 8, 2023.

Another thing that stands out is other socks reaching out on the talk pages of both BeauSuzanne and Qwef1234. An example is this for BeauSuzanne and this for Qwef1234. I have seen this with other film-related socks who do this in order to make it seem like they are helping well intentioned editors. Again, not conclusive, but raises flags. I also would not be surprised if BeauSuzanne is socking or MEAT with such an experienced account. Note that Qwef1234 had 7,500 edits and was three years old. --CNMall41 (talk) 01:02, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WP:BOLDly adding new account Wryeb, created 28 April, recreated Khaie at Khaie (2024 Pakistani TV series), Zard Patton Ka Bunn, and Gentleman (Pakistani TV series) at Draft:Gentleman (2024 Pakistani TV series), all previously created by blocked socks of master. Wikishovel (talk) 11:53, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikishovel: Good catch! @Wryeb was created shortly after I objected the questionable editing behavior of @BeauSuzanne. I also began to wonder why @BeauSuzanne hasn't been as active since I caught them. Now, it's clear they've been busy under this new account @Wryeb. It's no coincidence that @Wryeb - a newbie is energetically editing in the same domain, specifically moving pages from draft to main space, mirroring @BeauSuzanne's past actions. Certainly them.--—Saqib (talk | contribs) 12:06, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Highly probable. They've all been involved in editing BLPs of Pakistani actors that don't meet WP:N. Libraa's recent sudden appearance on WP:AN against me isn't just a coincidence. It's quite telling how they all band together when one of their fellas' articles faces deletion. Here's something interesting. Both Libraa2019 and Metamentalist have been active on WP since 2019 and last year, respectively, but they've never participated in AfDs until recently when I nominated pages of @ BeauSuzanne for deletion recently. It seems pretty clear they're all part of the same group. BUT I doubt a CheckUser result will reveal much, as they're probably using different proxies or networks—I'm not well-versed in these technical matters. Possible, they could be meatpuppets.—Saqib (talk I contribs) 16:22, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not connected to anyone. I edited Shuja Asad since few months and it was on my watchlist therefore i voted Keep on AFD. If i would have connection with someone, i would have voted Keep to all of the articles created by BeauSuzanne but that is not the case. I created Parhlo, Danial Afzal Khan but did'nt voted Keep here [14], [15] because i respect others perspective. Secondly my appearance at WP:AN was not a sudden, it was a response of [16], its naturally, at wikipidea one can see others contribution just like u saw mine and tagged Qudsia Ali, Agha Mustafa Hassan etc. But if i have done something wrong then i am guilty and will avoid such things in future. One thing i would like to clarify is that i respect seniors perspective therefore i have not removed any of the tags you have added to my creations neither i voted keep to all of my creations. I will wait for senior editors participation just like one removed that tag here [17] Libraa2019 (talk) 06:10, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Libraa2019, Both Libraa2019 and BeauSuzanne also exhibit a similar editing style, particularly at AfD discussions. A quick look at their language reveals identical rationales for keeping pages. Moreover, I recently observed Libraa2019 removing some previously added WP:OR using a placeholder reference, a tactic we've seen before with BeauSuzanne.Saqib (talk I contribs) 12:48, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • First I will apologozie for late reply. I was taking a break and I was not active yesterday. Second I don't have any connection also I don't know anyone here and I am also not a paid contributor. Our styles maybe similiar but I don't know Libraa2019 and it's normal anyone can edit on any pages. Yes I have done edits on pages that were also done by Qwef1234 but I don't have connection with Qwef1234. I have previously mentioned also that I don't have any connection with anyone. Yes it's true, I started by making articles in draft section because I was learning stuff like info box and sections also how to add references then once I learned it properly then I moved to the mainspace.(BeauSuzanne (talk) 15:06, 11 May 2024 (UTC))[reply]
BeauSuzanne, No please, there is alot of difference between editing of yours and mine. I dont think there is a similarity. You add much of an unsourced material to articles and create articles just because a person exist or have done a minor role whereas i research and only create article if a person/project is actually meeting criteria. Libraa2019 (talk) 16:01, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello Libraa1234. Yes there is a big difference between my work and your work. I also do my research before making articles. Saqib talked about similarity between our articles so that's why I mentioned maybe. Don't worry I am not blaming anyone or you. It's my own work which I create. Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

This IP is highly likely a sock puppet of Nauman335. Nauman335's sock has made multiple attempts to create an article on Zard Patton Ka Bunn, which were repeatedly deleted under G5. Later, they modified the drama's title and recreated it as Draft:Zard Patton Ka Band, only to have it deleted again under G5. Now, they are attempting to recreate it once more- both at Draft:Zard Patton Ka Band as well Draft:Zard Patton Ka Bunn (drama). @Yamla: Saqib (talk) 20:20, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The editing behavior mirrors that of @Nauman335, and behaving akin to a sleeper account. In 2022, they sent a message to @BeauSuzanne, which is suspected to be a sock of the master. Recently, they created a redirect Jaan Se Pyara Juni; an article on same TV series was extensively edited by the sock of master account at Draft:Jaan Say Pyara Juni. Additionally they also created Draft:Tumharey Husn Kay Naam, a TV series by Green Entertainment. @Mkabir1988 created Draft:Jaan Say Pyara Juni which was later heavily edited by Dssep,a confirmed sock of master account. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 08:09, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record - Mkabir1988 is back after 02 week break following the blockage of Dssep.Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:59, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Classic Nauman335 editing. I would say pay close attention when reverting their edits. You will see many pages where they create a redirect and then an IP (100% LOUTSOCKing) comes right after and removes it to post the new page. --CNMall41 (talk) 19:06, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

StayCalmOnTress is also older than Nauman335 by a month or so, and would be the new master unless something comes up in the report above. Let's hold on moving anything for now. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:05, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IP has created Draft:Zard patton ka bunn - Previously articles on same topic were created by socks of master at Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Draft:Zard Patton Ka Band, and Draft:Zard Patton Ka Bunn (drama) Saqib (talk I contribs) 22:23, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Socks of Nauman335 are known for creating articles on same topics using slightly different titles. Is there any connection with @Knowrz7747 (creator of Draft:UmroAyyar A New Beginning) and/or @SaadTheLegend (creator of Draft:Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning). Earlier today Sunaola a sock of master also edited Draft:Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning..
Fwiw - another sock puppet Taiyabi created Draft:Umro Ayyar- A New Begining.--Saqib (talk I contribs) 23:30, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • The IP is Nauman335, nobody has ever tried to create or edit any of the multiple pages they've created on that show that hasn't been a sock. Draft deleted and title blacklisted.
  • Both accounts are strongly Red X Unrelated. Closing. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:31, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This IP today reverted a redirect amd restored a page on a non-notable HUM TV show called Very Filmy that was originally created by socks of @Nauman335. In their edit summary, they claimed, Two editors thought its notable (on talkpage). AFD if disagree. However, according to the tp discussion, one of those two editors, @Mushy Yank, who thought it was notable also suggested redirecting it, so the consensus was actually to redirect the page. IP suggested taking it to AfD, because they know they will cast keep votes using different IPs to rescue the page. Fwiw, the page was draftified by Pppery but was moved to main NS without any review. --Saqib (talk I contribs) 00:53, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Ivanvector: The point is if is it safe to revert this edit or not?— Saqib (talk I contribs) 00:54, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure - so it doesn't falls under G5? — Saqib (talk I contribs) 16:06, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An article was created @ Draft:Na Baligh Afraad on 6 June - I draftified it because it failed to meet GNG. A few days later, @Mfarazbaig re-created Na Baligh Afraad. I draftified it too and clearly mentioned to submit it for review before moving back to main NS. Today, @Mfarazbaig unilaterally moved it back to the main NS without making any effort to address my concerns, saying that “Anyone who disagrees can take it to the AfD”. The similar type of editing behaviour was recently noted by a blocked IP of master account 39.34.135.244 (talk · contribs · 39.34.135.244 WHOIS). It's worth noting that Draft:Na Baligh Afraad has been edited by socks of master account. Moreover, @Mfarazbaig has been previously accused of engaging in UPE by several admins and was a suspected sock of multiple sock farms. In-fact he remained blocked from 2017 to 2023. Saqib (talk I contribs) 17:58, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

They also recently created a PROMO article on SadaPay which was previously created multiple times by UPEs. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:05, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Technically  Possible. Behaviourally they don't quite match this case, other than the recent common draft targets, probable undisclosed paid editing, and persistently moving rejected drafts back to mainspace. They have a device in common with the case history but are not confirmed to any recently active socks. They also have been logging out to edit in ways that violate WP:LOUTSOCK, which isn't great since they were fairly recently relieved by Arbcom of a very long block for sockpuppetry based partly on the same behaviour.
However, they are also  Likely with Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Oriental Aristocrat, based on info from the wiki, but that case has been stale for a while. Mfarazbaig's initial block comes from a report at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Liborbital - the case is noted in their block log but as far as I can interpret that report, they were not Liborbital; that report was more like there were a bunch of accounts obviously socking and there was little value in determining which accounts were which users' socks, so they were blocked without a tag. But buried in that report is a user Nauman147, who was determined to be  Possible to Mfarazbaig.
For some more background: that report led to Mfarazbaig being blocked indefinitely on 16 October 2017. Oriental Aristocrat came along a long time later, 17 June 2022, and was blocked as arbitration enforcement for disruptive India-Pakistan editing on 1 May 2023. OA's last known confirmed sock was blocked on 7 November 2023, and there is data from those checks on cuwiki which I would call "technically indistinguishable" with Mfarazbaig now, if not for the time gap. Also, Mfarazbaig's appeal to Arbcom was accepted on the same day that Pirate of the High Seas (OA's latest sock) was blocked. Mfarazbaig was checked at the time but the appeal went through, so I assume Arbcom didn't see what I think should have been apparent at the time (courtesy ping @Izno:). Maybe they were using a proxy at the time? They have used proxies in the past.
I feel that Mfarazbaig should be blocked for logged-out socking and probable undisclosed paid editing, and their probable connection to Oriental Aristocrat, but the successful Arbcom appeal is tripping me up here. I'm going to leave this for more opinions. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:03, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Ivanvector, your email should contain some brief discussion on the appeal we (former me + AC) got. If there is fresh evidence to indicate continued socking, and moreover, continued socking that established a clear link to Oriental, I'd say you're empowered to issue a new block. But you can get a 2O from a current CU or AC about it given the timing of some things. I'd tend toward AC's inbox. Izno (talk) 20:24, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Izno, I forgot about that conversation. Seems we agreed then, and agree now, that notwithstanding their successful appeal they should be blocked as anyone else would be if they continue socking.
On that note, in addition to the incriminating technical info, Mfarazbaig didn't edit at all after being unblocked until March 2024, just long enough for the former account to expire from the checkuser window, where their very first edit was restoring a merged-by-consensus article 2023 Zaman Park raid, which had also been repeatedly restored by the OA sock Pirate of the High Seas. Pirate used edit summaries like "passes GNG" and "the scope of this article is different"; Mfarazbaig's edit summaries were "satisfies WP:GNG and WP:NEVENT" and "this re-titled article is about the police raid and not the protests". When they hit 3RR there, they created a copy of the article at Zaman Park raid, and then continued edit-warring to keep it separate, noting again "Easily passes GNG and NEVENT". Pirate also had a history of moving drafts to mainspace against AFC advice, such as Khalistan Tiger Force, which is one of Mfarazbaig's behaviours noted by the filer. Add to that Mfarazbaig's recent checkuser-confirmed logged-out edit warring (also over restoring a redirected article) which I can't elaborate on by policy. And for the last thing, the timing of the SPI where Pirate of the High Seas was blocked versus the timing of Mfaragbaiz's Arbcom appeal suggests they may have been trying to get an old account unblocked as they knew their current sock was about to be canned. Mfarazbaig is blocked pending tagging, a status I think I just made up; this finding also makes Mfarazbaig the master of the Oriental Aristocrat case, and I need to think about how to handle that. Today on 27th June, @Dssep created a redirect (Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum) with the intention of later creating an article. Shortly after, @Hypothetically007 created the page, and @Dssep subsequently joined to expand it. The article is about some WP:ROTM Pakistani TV series that has not even aired yet, so this editing behaviour suggesting possible coordinated efforts like WP:MEATPUPPET. @Dssep has only 55 edits, while @Hypothetically007, who primarily contributes to Indian-based TV series, suggesting they are likely Indian. However, it raises questions as to why an Indian would create an article about some WP:ROTM Pakistani TV series that has not yet aired so this raise suspicions of potential WP:UPE involvement. And I won't be surprised if they're found to be part of a UPE sock farm. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 16:39, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Both continue to bypass the AFC review process by unilaterally moving pages on non-notable TV series to the main NS. This behavior resembles what Nauman335 UPE sock farm typically does.Saqib (talk I contribs) 08:23, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk note: Both Dssep and Hypothetically007 accounts are blocked for socking so this SPI can be merged into Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nauman335 per these findings. --— Saqib (talk I contribs) 07:01, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I can't say for certain if it's technically proven, but articles on the topic Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning has been created multiple times by different socks, often under different titles to avoid detection. The fact that a two-year-old sleeper account, who is also a SPA (see this, this, this), created Umro Ayyar - A New Beginning and Draft:UmroAyyar A New Beginning strongly suggests it passes the WP:DUCKTEST — Saqib (talk I contribs) 16:56, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, Nauman335 is easy to remember. I keep forgetting that the new master account is StayCalmOnTress, not Nauman335! Nauman is a common first name in Pakistan and I used to have a feeling that the sock master's original name might be Nauman.Saqib (talk I contribs) 17:30, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
