About the Business
Fergie's is a small licensed cafe here on the banks of the Cheakamus river. We are proud to offer locally produced food made by local chefs. Fergie's has been a landmark here in the Squamish valley for decades and we are trying to keep the name going! Hope to see you here soon!

What an amazing spot! Not only is it set in a beautiful area in the woods, but the grounds are lovely to walk around while you wait for your table. You don't even mind that you might have to wait 15 to 30 minutes for your table because you can go and check out the river or check out the cute little shop at the edge of the property or even grab a coffee from their little food truck.
They are such a well oiled machine for getting your name on the list and texting you when your table is ready. The servers are efficient and knowledgeable. They have a lot of different areas to sit. We got to sit in the area that has the cute little fireplace and a cabin vibe. But there are also lovely spots outside too.
We tried the eggs Benedict that had the pulled braised beef, ribs, and these delicious roasted squash bites. We also tried the steelhead trout eggs Benedict that was my personal favorite. I highly suggest the Holland had some dill in it, and it was very fresh tasting.
If you're going to Squamish, get here for when they open and do yourself a favour and make sure you set aside the time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 21 Jun 2024
Everyone RAVED about this place so we had really high expectations and while they were met, we weren't BLOWWWWWN AWAY (to the point where I would still think of the dishes).
That being said, the view is nice and the staff are friendly. The menu is one of those where every dish sounds delish and nothing could taste bad. It's truly a PNW local ingredient kind of "farm-to-table" vibe even if it might not fully be the case.
Anyways, we got the BBQ Asado Hash and The Coastal Benedict. Both were tasty and carried all their flavors perfectly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 11 May 2024
The food was to die for! The salmon Benny with a gluten free English muffin was hands down my Favorite eggs Benny I've ever eaten!
The wait on a Saturday was quite long - approx 1 hour to get a table. They do not offer take out. But, we did hear that they were short staffed in the kitchen that day.
They offer lots of seating inside, and outside where you can bring your dog, as well. They even have some tables for you to enjoy coffee while you wait for your table.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Summer P.Surrey, Canada11 Sept 2024
The location of the restaurant is beautiful with a unique layout. The atmosphere warm and cozy. Service was fast as we got seated upon arriving. The food was average, nothing too special but it did arrive fast. Overall, good experience.

We visited on a Thursday afternoon around 1pm so we didn't encounter the wait times as mantioned in other reviews. Given the location and ambiance, the wait times are understandable on weekends. There was still a good crowd turnong over as we were seated.
We ordered the burger, mushrooms on sourdough, crispy portobello, and brioche french toast w. side sausage. Food was presented beautifully and would make an impact on social media. Overall the flavours were there, if not a tad salty, on the savoury plates. The french toast was the best dish of the day, with the side sausage winning a supporting role. Crispy and custardy, it was a delicious balance with the fresh blueberry compote. As mentioned, there was a big crowd as we were sat, and unfortunately we waited a good 20 minutes for our food. The overall service was good, but nothing extrordinary. Fergie's would be a nice option outside the usual stops alkng the way up to Whistler, as was our travel itinerary, however, be advised of the wait times and slower than usual kitchen service depending on the time of your visit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 11281611 Aug 2024
Excellent food, nice creekside location. At the server's recommendation, had the Fergie's Sourdough Tartine with a poached egg on top. Yummy! Sat in the upper cafe area which made us feel like we were in the tree tops! Highly recommended.

Fergie's Cafe is a good pit stop for anyone going to Whistler or beyond. It is tucked away in the heart of the town and offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is charming, featuring a mix of rustic and modern elements that create a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. It's clear that they take pride in providing excellent customer service. :)
Now, let's talk about the food. We went there for brunch and I must say, their brunch menu has a variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. I opted for the fried oyster mushroom karaage, and it exceeded my expectations. The flavors were fresh, and the presentation was artful, showcasing a commitment to quality ingredients. However, all of their other dishes were also very good (according to my friends).
I also tried their golden milk toddy which was essentially turmeric milk, but boozy. Was a little disappointed with this one because it didn't taste like anything really and the taste of turmeric was too strong.
I left with a satisfied palate, a full stomach, and I can't wait to stop by here again on my next visit to Squamish!Helpful 6Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - 18 Feb 2024Updated review
It 's been 7 years since my last review and we stop here (just about) every year on our way home from Whistler-Blackcomb - it has become tradition. I found Fergie's the first year off of Yelp and we've been able to see it grow and flourish. It is now far from the humble little cottage with a small dining area that we first experienced.
They now have a modern, 2-story structure with exposed steel beams and Squamish-fitting decor. They also have a cozy annex for extra seating with a wood stove, adjacent sofas, and plenty of tables.
When you arrive on a busy weekend day like we did, you get on the list and are then free to explore. They have a little playground for the kids. An excellent phone experience shows you your approximate wait and place in line. We waited about an hour.
The wait staff are friendly, genuine, and helpful. We're always seated with a smile, promptly served pitchers of water, and asked about more interesting drink options.
Although the menu varies, we come here for the eggs Benedict where they are conceived with creativity - it is hard to just choose one. My spouse and each pick one we know each other would like and swap plates half way through.
I'd like to add that the prices aren't really all that crazy for how nice a restaurant it is. It isn't cheap, but after eating at "high end" places at Whistler, it feels like a deal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 021 Apr 2016Previous reviewPicked this place based on Yelp reviews, looking for breakfast on the way back to Seattle from Whistler. You'd never find it by accident as it was a few miles off the freeway, but it was well worth the drive.
The food was top notch. The service was friendly. Food didn't come fast, but it came fresh. Seating was limited and the place was packed, but before the time our food came a table opened up.
We will absolutely revisit next trip to Whistler. - Chris M.Coquitlam, Canada0131719 Aug 2024
We almost always have to wait up to an hour for a table, but it's undeniably worth it every time. Delicious food in a gorgeous location near Squamish.

GO HERE!!! This place is BEAUTIFUL! It's like eating in a treehouse nestled next to rushing water with great service and the food is SPECTACULAR. Those chefs made that food with a whole lot of love. We got two Benedict's and the special egg wrapped in pork concoction. Delish!! Everything so fresh. You're welcome in advance.
