One of my favorite stops when I visit Canada! Two levels of amazing Daiso products. It is located inside the Aberdeen Centre. If you are nearby, you have to check out this Daiso. They have way more products and it's super clean!
Tip: After shopping here, do not stop! Go up a level and eat at the restaurants. Great variety of food choices!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10. syysk. 2018
This is a place I can find good interesting good from Asia. One good example is the dome shape umbrella. This type umbrella I can get it online or other retailer store for $18. I only paid $6 Canadian dollar.
Other item such as cream blue utensils organizer, this item is hard to find in US. Stuff such as hello kitty, and all other oriental cartoonist. It hot sale items.
The daily use item is delicate and nice to use. Ceramic item for bowl, cup and plate are detailing to pleasing the eye.
If you have not been to Daiso, you need to check them out. The have lovely item that you may want to get it yourself.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - 10. huhtik. 2019
Out of all the Daiso stores that I've been to in North America (primarily on West Coast), this Daiso is location is by far the largest with regards to inventory. With two stories and fairly tightly packed and well-stocked, this is my favorite Daiso to shop for things I didn't even know I need, want, or even existed. LOL.
In case you didn't know, Daiso is essentially the Japanese dollar-store, packed with Japanese designed products. Some are Japan-made; most are China made. In Canada, the majority of the per unit cost is CAN$2. (In U.S., it's US$1.50.) Any product that cost more than the normal price are clearly marked.
Daiso is provides access to Japanese designs at a very affordable cost. Not joking, some items are nearly genius. I bought a scoop/ladle that has a built in crater for ginger and garlic and a little slot to push directly into the dish. WHAT?!? That's brilliant! I also have all their pink color kitchen utensils - spatulas, whisk, etc. So cute! I also buy things that I observe in Japanese restaurants, including the oil absorbing papers under tempura.
Tip: The best departments to browse in detail are kitchen, bath, and crafting. The department that is attractive but not as cost effective is the snacks area; you can buy most at a lower cost at a supermarket.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17. helmik. 2019Päivitetty arvostelu
One a while I used to buy their eye liner and eye brow. But found out they took away whole those shelfs. I'm sad. I need to buy them in Japan.

But this store had never betrayed me even here in Canada. I love and respect their hard work to keep the customers. - 29. jouluk. 2018
This is the huge Daiso shop in Richmond, located at Aberdeen Centre. And it's my regular store whenever I go to Vancouver. We have Daiso in Seattle area but they are small and don't carry as many items as this Daiso does.
They carry lots of Japanese dollar store items such as containers, cosmetic, kitchen gadgets, plates and cups, gardening items, crafts, stationeries , snacks, etc.. You can find almost anything there.
My favorite things I buy are cotton swabs made in Japan, containers for closets and shelves, Japanese snacks, erasers. disposable items like gloves, cotton puffs and tupperwares, etc..Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1392636212. marrask. 2015
Daiso.. Oh how I love thee! My fave $2 (and up) Japanese random anything-you-might-possibly-need store.
I usually come here for household items (boxes, cups, plastic wash basins, laundry bags, ziplock bags, washcloths, etc), stationery (washi tapes, rubber stamps & stamp pads, sticky notes, cute stickers, notebooks, pens, albums, etc), snacks, and many many other random things (I recently bought a Halloween wig here..).
I often joke to my friends that I can never leave Daiso empty handed, ever. And it's true - I always find something to buy even when I'm just browsing. So yes, Daiso, just take my money!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 121681748. toukok. 2018
This is shopping heaven for any of your home needs!
Reasonably priced everyday items that are oh so Japanese. I live going no to this store, it totally reminds me of when I was in Japan.
They have cute lunch sacks, plastic bento boxes, cool everyday dishes and so many varieties of Japanese crackers and candy. You can spend hours just browsing the two floors of items.
It is well worth the trek into Richmond. Move over Walmart!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 9. kesäk. 2015
DAISO Where have you been all my life?
I must be the last person on this planet to set foot in The Daiso. This hugely popular Japanese chain expanded to Aberdeen Center in Richmond, BC in 2003, with two stories and 26,400 sq ft of space to shop for things you didn't think you would ever need but must buy because it is so damn cute and cheap and Japanese.
HOURS: 9:30am to 9pm daily. Note that the mall has shorter hours, so you can shop here before/after the mall closes.
For my Hawaii friends who don't know what this store is about, Daiso is like a Don Quijote/Shirokiya/Marukai meets Ikea store with almost everything in the store CAD$2 (US$1.57 using credit card when we went). My friends tell me in LA it's US$1.50, but I've never even been to the ones in SF or LA or Seattle. There are some items that are marked with a green tag that cost more, but everything I saw was still under $10.
Everything is so random here. Disposable underwear, mechanical pencils, electric erasers, scissors, waterproof eyeliner, facial masks, pillboxes, pressure point massagers, toilet scrubbers, laundry bags, Canada souvenirs, stationery, dishes, snacks from japan, hair clippers, pet food, footballs, and more. Unlike the dollar stores or Pricebusters stores in the US which normally just sell crap, the stuff here is good stuff. You just have to walk up and down to find something calling out your name. For me it was the pens and pencils. I just love Japanese ball point pens and pencils, can't stand all the gel ink stuff that we get in the US.
I'm not usually a shopper, but bumping into this store made my day. I had to go back twice in one day because there's no way you can take it all in the first time. I only wish I had found this store in the beginning of our trip instead of at the end.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - 21. jouluk. 2017
Who doesn't love cheap things? The best thing about daiso items is the quality of their products.
I always come here first for stationary, kitchen and bath items; you can almost always find what you want here for a much cheaper price than the brand name stores.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 22553533582. toukok. 2016
This place is a dream for Knick Knackers! I always have fun when I go to Daiso. I have never left without buying something!
My favourite sections are ... uuhmm ... pretty much the entire store haha. My daughters love going to the cosmetics section. My son enjoys the snacks section. I love going all over but most of the time I end up buying something from Kitchen Ware or Snacks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
