Fitness guru Richard Simmons, known for his energetic personality and high-intensity workout programs, passed away at the age of 76. Simmons, who stepped away from the public eye in 2014, had recently celebrated his 76th birthday and expressed gratitude for his life and the opportunity to help others.

According to TMZ, Simmons' housekeeper called 911 around 10 a.m. on Saturday (July 13). When police arrived, they found Simmons unresponsive and pronounced him dead at the scene. No foul play is suspected, and officials believe he died of natural causes.

Earlier this year, Simmons revealed that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. He shared his journey with his fans, detailing the diagnosis and treatment process. Despite the health scare, Simmons remained positive and used his platform to encourage others to take their health seriously.

Simmons was a beloved figure in the fitness industry, known for his "Sweatin' to the Oldies" workout videos and his energetic approach to exercise.

His death marks the end of an era in the fitness world.
