On-Line Complaints : The On-Line Complaint Form is provided as a convenience for
consumers wishing to contact a consumer counselor about an issue with a regulated
utility during non working hours and is considered by the Illinois Commerce
Commission to be a voluntary submission of information. Information collected
on this form is necessary for our use in resolving your complaint or inquiry
and to contact you for follow-up.

Anonymous Searching
You must have per-session cookies enabled to utilize the search
capabilities of our web site. Our web server software issues a temporary
session cookie that is deleted when you close your browser. This cookie is
necessary to keep track of your search criteria and which page of the search
results you are viewing to enable navigation through the search results. No
personal information of any sort is stored in the cookie and nothing is
maintained on our web site about the cookie after you close the browser
session.

Per-session cookies are used to store state information only within a session.
These cookies are cached only while a user is visiting the Web server issuing
the per-session cookies and are deleted from the cache when the user closes the

Authenticated Applications
Authenticated
Applications at the ICC do not allow anonymous users to enter information.� Authenticated applications require an ICC provided user-id and password

enter information.�� Authenticated applications enable the Illinois
Commerce Commission to
collect electronic information in the course of exercising its legislative
mandate through the filing of applications, forms and/or petitions,
correspondence and e-mail directed to the Illinois Commerce Commission or any
information subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
Authenticated Application : eDocket
General use of the eDocket
system for inquiry and reporting of cases before the Illinois Commerce
Commission is considered anonymous public access. A session cookie is issued by
the eDocket application for state management and for
page to page navigation. Anonymous information is collected by our web server
logs about pages visited and documents viewed and is
used to determine performance and service levels. The eDocket
System permits authenticated access for filing documents in formal cases before
the Illinois Commerce Commission. Anyone wishing to apply for an account for
the purpose of filing documents in cases before the Commission may do so and
must supply a login id and password in order to avail themselves of those
services. This is considered non-public use of the site. Although the eDocket System uses cookies, they are non-persistent and
are deleted when the browser is closed. No personal information is collected by
the web site or stored in the cookie.
ACCESS OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
No personally identifying
information is collected unless you are specifically prompted for such
information.� Information submitted via
survey forms or on-line complaints cannot later be viewed or altered; however, Information
collected when authenticated to our system through an ICC provided user-id and
password can be reviewed and corrected by logging back in and changing the
information.
SECURITY OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
When you enter personally
identifying information it is collected through a secure encrypted tunnel
(SSL.)� Storage of this information is
secured in system with a user-ids and password.
The Department of Information Technology Services, as
developer and manager of this web site, has taken several steps to safeguard
the integrity of its communications and computing infrastructure, including but
not limited to authentication, monitoring, auditing, and encryption. Security
measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day
practices of the entire Illinois Commerce Commission operating environment as
part of its continuing commitment to risk management.
