Lexie Ponce was an intern through the Voces Internship of Idaho while pursuing her studies at Lewis-Clark State College. Majoring in political science with a minor in Spanish, she was committed to expanding her understanding of the connections between governance, language and journalism. With an interest in local news and a desire to pursue law school, Lexie is eager to explore journalism and its potential for effecting positive change. Born and raised in Wilder, Lexie is a first-generation college student who is passionate about exploring the intersections of politics, law and media. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Chispa, and her family.
