In this role, you will be a key member of the system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.
Description
In this role you will be part of the team defining next generation cellular modem features and capabilities along with;
• Defining requirements based on evaluation of wireless standards, product requirements and ecosystem alignment.
• Provide derived requirements, setting design targets for wireless subsystems and architecture.
• Work with cross functional teams in evaluating cutting edge use cases and deriving requirements for the modem modem across LTE, 5G-NR and 6G.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure consistency of modem system requirements with longer term technology roadmaps.
• Prepare and drive project decisions related to modem capabilities and roadmap.

Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive years of wireless system engineering and modem design experience.
- In-depth knowledge of physical layer and upper layer procedures and impact to modem data path design and trade-offs.
- Deep understanding of wireless radio standards including 5G-NR and LTE and their implications on cross layer modem design and procedures.
- Demonstrated background in modem feature evaluation and trade-off analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in leading technical initiatives across functional organization and with external partners.
- Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python.
- Proficiency with Requirements Management tools, i.e. Jama Connect.
Education & Experience
MS or PhD in CS, EE, or related field and a minimum of few years relevant industry experience.
