Description

In this role, you will support the development of world-class third party apps by bridging developers to framework engineering teams, enabling them to create the most innovative apps using Apple technologies while ensuring exceptional user experiences. You will be constantly exploring the latest technologies and helping the developer community to ship great apps that show off the best of what Apple hardware and software can enable. The role will focus on direct code-level support, developer events/labs, and forums, as well as writing technical notes and sample code. You will have the opportunity to be deeply involved with guiding developers in the use of Apple Intelligence right from the start, along with other Apple technologies based on machine learning. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background and is driven to solve challenging technical problems on behalf of developers. You have strong communication skills, and you can translate technical experiences to technical and non-technical audiences. You can work independently whilst fostering and leveraging collaborative relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience developing apps for Apple platforms in Swift or Objective-C.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with or experience in Machine Learning (ML) and related technologies.
  • Experience with core frameworks such as Foundation, CoreAnimation, SwiftUI, AppKit, and UIKit.
  • Understanding of API / SPI design and implementation.
  • Experience testing technology stacks with many software and hardware components.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals & debugging instincts.
  • Willingness to dive in and take ownership of a problem space.
  • Ability to rapidly problem solve, improvise, and triage technical scenarios.
  • Resourceful, passionate, creative, and results oriented with high energy and a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of the app ecosystem, business models, and competition.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent industry experience.
