MEDIA ADVISORY Cathedral Arts Project Announces Performing and Visual Arts Showcases

CAP celebrates student artists from 29 Duval County Public Schools and Youth Organizations

WHAT:

The Cathedral Arts Project (CAP) annual Performing and Visual Arts Showcases are a community celebration of the children and youth participating in CAP’s quality arts education programs. This year, 29 program sites and nearly 650 young artists will participate in performances and exhibitions of work completed during the 2023-2024 school year. These events are open to the public as an opportunity to support and witness the positive impact that access to professional arts programming provides all students.

The Performing Arts Showcase student performances include theatre, ballet, chorus, strings, percussion and more. The Visual Arts Showcase is an exhibition of a variety of works by young artists in a wide range of mediums including painting, drawing, mixed media and more.

The 2024 Showcase of the Arts is presented by the Willits Foundation and sponsored by VyStar Credit Union, Dunn & Bradstreet, and the David & Monique Miller Family Fund.
