Free Award-Winning BBQ For All First Responders on May 11
WHAT:
England-Thims & Miller (ETM), in partnership with Cowboy Q, is offering a complimentary meal to all first responders on the First Coast in gratitude for their bravery and service. Led by ETM’s Wes Watson, Senior Inspector, the Feeding First Responder BBQ is an opportunity for members of the community to give back to those who risk their lives every day for our safety.
In addition to his role with ETM, Watson is the Founder of Cowboy Q and is a former fireman. He has won numerous accolades for his BBQ since he began entering competitions in 2016. Watson is a four-time World Steak Championship Qualifier and Five-time World Food Qualifier, and he has earned the title of Grand Champion in numerous competitions and food categories including St. Louis Ribs, Chicken, Pork, Brisket, Baby Back Ribs, Burgers, Wings, Pizza, and Chili.
The Feeding First Responder event will include a free meal for every first responder who attends, as well as a raffle to help raise funds to support additional Feeding First Responder BBQs across the First Coast. ETM is enlisting volunteers to help at the event and accepting donations for raffle gift baskets. Volunteer opportunities include cooking meals on Friday, May 10 from 5 PM to 10 PM, as well as serving attendees on May 11 from 10 AM – 3 PM.
