THE FLORIDA THEATRE WELCOMES TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

JACKSONVILLE, FL (July 25, 2024) –– Two new members have joined the Florida Theatre Board of Directors:  Ed Lombard, Managing Partner with Agility Wealth Management, and Angela Merritt, Senior Account Manager with DEX Imaging.  Both were nominated by the Organizational Committee and have graciously agreed to serve a three-year term as a Regular Voting Member of the Board of Directors.

The Florida Theatre is governed by a Board of Directors drawn from the community's civic leadership, who volunteer to oversee the institution's policies, governance, and finances.  There are currently 30 Board Members serving in this capacity.

Ed Lombard is a Managing Partner with Agility Wealth Management and a Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services.  He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor with over two decades of financial planning industry experience.  He began his career in financial planning with UBS (1999-2013) and continued to serve clients at Ameriprise Financial Services (2013-2021) before aligning with Raymond James and Agility Wealth Management, an Independent Practice, in 2021.

He is a member and a Past President of the Rotary Club of West Jacksonville and has served the JT Townsend Foundation and Pine Castle, a nonprofit that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental differences.  He has helped sponsor the basketball team at Providence High School since 2013 and is a Veterans Treatment Court mentor.

He is a US Army veteran and a 1997 graduate of Flagler College with a BA in Business and Managerial Economics.  He has lived in Neptune Beach since 2003 and is a frequent flier at the Florida Theatre.  Click here for Ed’s photo.

“I’m grateful to continue the outstanding legacy of the Florida Theatre by being a cheerleader and champion of the Theatre to all my family, friends, and business contacts,” said Ed Lombard.

Angela Merritt is a Senior Account Manager with DEX Imaging, helping businesses with document management and office equipment solutions.  She has been with DEX Imaging since 2003 and has a background in graphic design, which gives her a unique perspective on what employees need from their copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.

She is very active in the community.  She has served the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Board Chair (2019-2021) and Board Vice Chair (2016–2019).  She has served as Program Chair for the FCHCC Excellence in Business Awards and Hispanic Heritage Gala and has been active with their Arts and Culture and Economic Empowerment Committees.  She has also been active with the Boy Scouts of America North Florida Council, serving as an Executive Board member from 2019 to the present, as Sporting Clay Committee Chairperson for 2022 and 2023, and as a Table Host for the American Values Dinner since 2017.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations (2019).

“I love the uniqueness of the historic Florida Theatre.  I’m honored to be elected to the Board and help this beautiful asset to Jacksonville continue to thrive,” said Angela Merritt.  “Being encouraged to participate in the performing arts at a young age has shaped who I have become as an adult.  It taught me dedication and that practice helps performance.”

“The Florida Theatre Board of Directors is a diverse group of citizen activists from all across the First Coast region who are dedicated to preserving a unique Jacksonville landmark and supporting the organization's efforts to provide our friends and neighbors with live entertainment by the world's best performers,” said Numa Saisselin, President of the Florida Theatre.  “Ed Lombard and Angela Merritt bring a wealth of talent and their own experiences in business and as Jacksonville residents to this effort, and we welcome them.”
